  • At this point, he is completely unconvincing in all aspects. He may end up being useless on the stand. There is still a lot missing from his story.

  • This story is getting a little weirder by the day....

  • I don't trust anyone from Penn State directly involved in this tragedy. Everyone is in CYA mode.

  • Sooo....he couldn't come out & say this over the couple/few days that Paterno's job and rep were on the line? Not to mention the reputation of PSU?

Somehow I doubt that. Nice try tho McQueery

  • If he did and went to police as he claims where is the report? It is public record and someone would have found it and published it. Are we to believe that the Police just swept this under the rug and did nothing? He is just trying to stay off the law suit list and possibly get another job somewhere.

I wouldn't put it past them.

  • If he went to campus police very possible it was swept under the rug. Anyone else get the feeling like Sandusky could walk when all is said and done. His lawyers already said that they expect many of the names to drop the charges against him. So it looks like it may come down to the one that McQueary walked in on. Starting to feel like the Casey Anthony case.

You believe the crap his attorney is putting out? He is in major spin management. Nobody even knows if that victim was ever identified. There is also the janitor who, in 2000, saw him performing oral sex on a child in that same shower. More victims have come forward, and victim #1 who finally told someone and got this story into the open, will testify to years of sexual abuse. At the very very least, what he has already admitted to still amounts to criminal charges and jail time.

    I agree with this.

The thing that is most apparent in this situation is that no one is above suspicion. Nothing would shock me anymore and if McQueary is correct (less than 3% chance, IMO), a lot of people have a Hell of a lawsuit coming.

Stranger things have happened. I doubt that anything will get dropped as there is way too much pressure against the DA to get this one done, but it won't be as slam dunk as many people think.

The only reason I would give it a second thought is that I can't believe it went this long without something happening. It seems if there was such clear cut evidence, it wouldn't have taken this long. Not everyone involved could have just chosen to sweep this one under the rug, but maybe they did and if that happened, numerous people deserve to be in jail.

Not uncommon in cases involving abused children and/or rape for there to be a long period of time between the crime and reporting the crime.

  • I believe that I do not believe anything about PSU anymore. I am not sure how anyone could believe anything coming from there. Everyone is running scared and everyone is trying to say the right things to throw someone else under the bus.

In the end, a BUNCH of people severely F-d up and PSU will ultimately pay heavy punitive damages, as well as image death issues.

This is far beyond any recruiting scandal and PSU keeps trying to spin this like a petty recruiting scandal. It's a criminal case and very likely could tie up some endowment bank for decades.
