Ugh.
I've been excited about this all week (I know that's lame, shut up) but can't see much of anything right now, we have some ridiculous cloud cover due to storms all day. I'm hoping it will clear up in the next few hours and I'll be able to watch for a little while.

The Tennessee night sky has looked the best it has in a while tonight. Don't worry for those who have cloud cover. Supposed to last until 3 ET (2 CT)

A friend just said it will be visible tomorrow night as well, any truth to this?

Yes, actually! NASA is reporting that you can still see some meteors tomorrow at around the same time. Btw, great to see a fellow stargazer on the board. Took an astronomy course a couple of semesters ago, and I have loved it ever since. This stuff is just awesome.

YES!!!
Can't say I'm a "stargazer" I just find it beautiful. When I was a kid my folks had a place way out in the middle of nowhere in NC. My mother would lay out a blanket, pillows, snacks, etc. on this flatbed trailer my dad used to haul hay and then at the peak of the showers my Dad would come wake us up to go outside and watch. I didn't appreciate it as much then and always fell asleep after an hour or so, but cherish those memories now. I was looking forward to starting that with my daughter this evening. I'm glad it'll still be visible tomorrow night.
