Miami or Al golden fans

Or those who know.
Can you explain to me why everyone is high on Golden. When I thought Bo might leave(a stretch I know) I was saying on our board that Golden is who we would probably get. And I also said he was a far better recruiter than Bo. I GOT HAMMERED!! Let me tell you, most our fans think Golden is junk. They hit on his #75 ranked recruiting class this year, and his .500 record. Said we needed to do way better.
I thought it would be a great hire. I believe Golden is a good coach.
Tell me what our fans weren't seeing in Golden. This has been eating at me. Who can share their thoughts of Al?

How do you recruit kids to a place they will end up being on probation for their entire career?

He can recruit way better then Bo, he had a top 10 class last year with sanctions looming, the class this year is ranked low because we only have 16 scollys and AG is going after quality so almost all the guys left on our board are singing day and AA game announcers. Anyone that pays attention can see he is turning the UM program around and doing it with sanctions, low fan support and no money. Also fwiw he will be the HC coach of Miami next year so your fan base doesn't have to worry.

I do think that Bo is realizing you have to recruit to win. I mean, you need players. So he may be improving, but I agree Golden is superior to Bo recruiting. And HCing.

Ok. Forget about Bo for a minute. I mean, as if he left. And Golden was front runner for HC. Do you believe, as many pointed out to me on our board, that Golden would be a bad choice?
And back to comparing, he is far more experienced as a HC and recruiter than Bo was when he was hired. Far more experienced. Now that's comparing Bo to Al. Comparing Al to other HC candidates may be different.

And I disagree that Miami is easier to recruit to right now. It's effort and approach. Miami is about to get hammered. You don't think these recruits know that? The only thing they have as advantage is location. And Golden selling.

Golden would be a good choice if Bo was gone. But he would be in the same boat where he'd win 8-10 games for four years. Golden gained more experience than Bo at Temple. He did a good job there don't get me wrong. But the competition wasn't as high. I do like him as a coach though

Yes this is true. Not all skill positions. QB not so much. But for the most part this is absolutely true. But, we do have some young guys that may get on the field and possibly receive better coaching. Because no way do they all end up sucking.
