He took a pitiful Temple program over and made them a winner. He went to Miami and had to suspend basically all his best players. Horrible to judge him merely on a 40-45 record.

As a side note, Al Golden has decided to roll the dice and tell Matthew Thomas that the sanctions from the NCAA will be just the two bowl bans they've served (would have been two trips to the Emerald Nut Bowl probably and that its all in the rear view mirror now. Ballsy move by Golden.

Well you obviously don't realize what that poster was saying. He loves Golden and hopes nobody takes him. He was being sarcastic.
And Mullen is not really a realistic option. From what I understand, he would have had little to no interest.

As corrupt as the NCAA is, he may be right. But yes, that's a big promise. But is it a lie? Hell he don't know what will happen.

The kid isn't that dumb. Also, it would be similar to the PSU situation, they would be allowed to transfer without losing eligibility.

not saying this about Matthew Thomas personally, but plenty of high school seniors are willing to believe that. Also yes even if they can transfer immediately you don't think that will hurt his reputation amongst high school coaches?
