    I love this.

    Meyer is really stcking his neck out by going after OOS kids harder. And, a legacy recruit nonetheless. He better pray to "on high" that he can win quickly and often at OSU. I am sure Buckeye fans THINK he will, but it is going to be hard to win at Ohio with OOS kids.

    SO if we sign 20 5-star kids from out of state, we'll have a problem winning?

    We need Ohio kids, no doubt. As long as we are locking up the cream of the crop in Ohio, we should be fine. Also, you got to remember our scholly situation. We have to be more selective than usual this year. McCray would have probly been offered if he was a 2012 recruit.

    I wasn't aware that recruiting rankings won games, I was under the impression that coaching is more important. And to be honest, Hoke has at least proven himself in the B1G.

  • Good pickup for Michigan but lmfao at the Michigan fans who say Urban doesn't know how to recruit Ohio. The plan for Meyer this year was to go after the top 7 to 8 players in Ohio and then have the rest come to camp and evaluate and offer there but that hasn't worked out because a lot of Ohio kids are committing early this year. And IMO McCray isn't a top 50 player I think he's more of top 200 player but still a good pickup. The reason McCray wasn't offered is becasue the OSU staff likes Courtney Love better who could commit to OSU at any time. And for the poster that says Dukes burned Burrows all night is simply not true because I was at that game and Trotwood was playing zone all night and Dukes only burned Burrows once.

  • All the Michigan fans that think most of our class will be from OOS kids are wrong. OSU will probably end 8-10 Ohio kids this year and our class will probably be around 20 so about half of our class will be from Ohio which is a little less than under Tressel.

    No, but in his last year at UF, with all that fancy 5 star Florida talent he recruited, Urbie went 7-5 and barely beat a mediocre PSU team in the Outback Bowl. His best years at UF were years 2 and 4 and most of the talent on those teams was recruited by Ron Zook. Urbie no longer has the inside track on Florida talent and he also no longer has Strong/Mullen/Mattison as his coordinators. It will be interesting to see how he does in Columbus, but so far he seems like a step down from Tressel. We never would be getting the talent out of Ohio we are getting now if the Vest was still around.

    Obviously Burrows didn't do a very good job in zone either, because the guy opposite of Dukes had a even bigger game.

    RichRod focused on bringing speed to the B10. As did Zook. Both are gone.

    Rich Rod problem was defense and also 5'9 guys who couldn't a thing. If you look at last year class and this year class some of the top guys that Meyer is bringing in so far is on the Defense.

    Trying to even compare Zook and RichRod to Urban Meyer is not even right.

    There aren't even that many 5*'s left, even after everybody gets bumped during the year. Sure, it was probably hyperbole but Meyer is falling behind. He needs to start doing some work son, maybe he shouldn't have went on that cruise a couple of weeks ago.

    How did that plan work out for him? This isn't the SEC. Meyer will figure that out eventually.
