Seeing how you are the one with the unhealthy coach... I wouldn't throw stones.

I think you are confused here.

There aren't even that many 5*'s left, even after everybody gets bumped during the year. Sure, it was probably hyperbole but Meyer is falling behind. He needs to start doing some work son, maybe he shouldn't have went on that cruise a couple of weeks ago.

Trust me, if they sign with Urbs, they are 5 stars.

Urb probly wen ton the cruise to recruit a 5 star dominican kicker....jus sayin

My mistake, I forgot about Luke Roberts. Oh, and that was funny.

I just love the spin of these posts honestly.

Dukes tore up Burrows this year for the tune of 170 and a couple of TD's. He might hurt Ohio if your savior is covering him.

Taco is rated highly by pretty much every service. He has the tools to be a stud and will have 3 excellent DL coaches coaching him, I like his chances.

McCray fits the Michigan defense pretty well. I see him being the heir apparent to Jake Ryan.

JB the staff was pretty high on. 6'6 with great hands and solid speed, decent chance he hurts you guys.

But none of these guys will hurt tOSU? We will see.

Thomas will hurt tOSU for sure. Going to hurt Marshall coming across the middle.

    You missunderstood my post.

I really like JB. I wanted him in this class. Will he likely hurt OSU on the field? yes. We are going to get a TE who is just as good as him tho.

Taco, I know you guys dont believe this but just isnt impressive. He was on TV a lot this year and he just cant see the field full time. I havn't said anything negative about any of your other prospects, not even Dukes because i know nothing about him. Taco has done nothing amazing consistantly. Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane is a perfect description of him. Does that mean he isnt going to go to Michigan and get coached up? No, he could end up being a great player. Honestly tho, I had no interest in him being in this class. Again, I've said nothing but nice things about all ur players.

I wanted McCray in this class, I like Timmy K better tho and he will likely committ once he gets his offer.

Thomas is obviously a beast and the 3rd best player in Ohio. I like him more than Price. This one hurts and we need Safetys. I think Burrows moves over there personally but Thomas is/was a must get this year.

Dukes I really know nothing about. There are conflicting reports on what he really did against Burrows. Burrows wasnt maned up on him, so forth. I'm not saying thats correct because I dont know but I do know Buckeye fans will spin things in their favor. Either way Burrows is a top 30 prospect in the country and played like a beast the majority of the year. IMO he is going to be a safety anyway.

My main point was its not like Urban is ignoring the state. The positions you have commitments from are not a major concern this year outside of S (Thomas) and TE (JB). We obviously want Thomas but we have TEs on r board above JB, im not saying thats right but its the truth. Overall, you guys are TSUN. Your going to take some players from the state of Ohio that tOSU wants but tOSU is going to get the majority of players it wants from the state, its just how it is.

Ok, but I was not talking about Charlton or Dukes, who are a notch below McCray IMO ... or for that matter Thomas, who Urbie did offer. I was talking about not offering McCray - an in state kid who is a legacy and who grew up a Buckeye - because you think you might be able to land someone else who might be a sliver better. McCray has as much potential as nearly any LB on your board. And he's 6'4" ... do you know how hard it is to find big, fast, athletic 6'4" LBs? FWIW, he's also better than some of the guys you took last year. But, hey, like I said, if Urbie would rather roll the dice and hope he can pull someone who might or might not ultimately turn out better, it simply makes life easier for us. I am certainly not complaining.

I disagree about McCray's speed compared to the others on our board. I don't see a guy who moves nearly as well as Smith, Love, O'Daniel, or Anzalone. He doesn't play downhill or attack the ball carrier as well as those guys do. But I do think McCray plays suprisingly well when dropping back into coverage for a big bodied guy.

    OhDannyBoy

  • We will see about Taco. Again his upside is pretty outstanding.

He might suck, but if anyone will coach him up it will be Michigan.

Look at RVB after 1 year of coaching. Went from average to difference maker.

That's interesting, I thought Meyer left because of his health?

  • A note to the Michigan fans. The down fall of the Texas program according to coach Brown was filling up their recruiting classes early for years. What they found out was all those 4 and 5 star recruits were not as talented as publicized once camp started. They since have gone against this strategy. No offense but I see this possibility with some of your recruits. McCray was told by Meyers along with a lot of other recruits that he wanted to see him at camp before offering a scholarship. I know Urban is looking for speed at LB because you cannot complete nationally without it.

I think he took it personally like Dymonte Thomas did when he did not get an early OSU offer. Either way you have to be excited about any kid that fulfills his dreams and we'll see how Michigan and OSU's recruits pan out. Great class so far though.

Why is Texas filling up fast again? I think coaching is a big part of it too.

  • Of the things I am worried about, speed and playmaking by Mccray are not on the list. He likely will grow into a DL, possibly...but otherwise this is a top 10 kid, bar none.

I think Texas not having a good qb played a bigger role lol.

It was only a matter of time. Good pickup, but worried a Buckeye offer will make him jump ship.

Either way, McCray is a beast.

Never really understood why he wasn't offered. I know Meyer has a plan but this is odd. Thing is if he blows up he may be inclined to flip. We'll see. Either way he's a good pick up.

Difference is Meyer isn't shopping for midgets. And it was RichRods players that beat Ohio State this year so he must not have been that far off.

Yes because no doubt RR was going to turn this defense from 117 to top 20 this past year....

But it didn't count because we played the worst Ohio team in history that had a freshman QB, a lame-duck coach, and Bollman calling the plays. Also, BM almost threw 3 more TDs but he wasn't good enough to complete them and everybody on the D was hurt. Also, the weather was too nice that day.

I've never made excuses for why we lost. Help me figure out how congratulating you on a player and saying basically that the recruits played better with better coaching equates to snarky comments?
