Last year, Eastern, Western, ND and SD state. This year Alabama, ND, Airforce, and UMass. Big10 slate the same, no Wisky or PSU. osu scheme wise will look different, but they are going to struggle. You take 3 new OL, with paper thin backups, and they are an injury away from disaster. They also lose top rb and the only wr they had that could actually catch. Their D is going to have to keep them in games. ND loses their top weapon, and doesn't have a qb. I think if ND keeps pace with last year, that will be something ND fans should be happy with.

Thanks! Weak OOC schedule last year. Baka makes it much tougher no doubt. If out team wins 8 games this year I'll be happy, sad but true. Everything hinges on BK's decision at QB and how well Golson handles the job. Check out his HS film he's got the huge arm, quick release, and speed to operate BK's spread offense, which he ran in HS, to a T. Will definitely take some lumps with this year being his first game action.

  • Hehehe ND. Golson? I'll believe he is good when I see it.

How many more years does BK have left?

If he goes 6-6 or 7-5 is he fired?

Sounds like you're glad MF is gone. For the record, so am I. Good luck!

Didn't say that, but he was definitely a crutch for Rees making ill advised throws into zone/double coverages. Pretty sure he made one of those throws against you guys inside the 10 last year. Not to mention the ball he lost mysteriously inside the red zone when he had MF wide open on a fade route in the end zone. Enough with the bad taste that debacle left me with.

No, AD is all in with his hire of BK. Everything is pointing to 2013 as being his make or break year. We'll have nearly everyone returning besides Teo and probably Eifert.

BK hasn't really shown a lot of progress from an outside perspective. His teams have also seemed to be mistake prone which is usually the sign of bad coaching.

I imagine BK will be gone sooner as opposed to later.

He's still paying Weis. You bet your butt he's all in.fingergun BK gets 5 years, but after that, they'll clean house, including the AD. If ND has a qb, they can win 8 or 9, but if Hendrix can't take the heat, on the field and on the sidelines, look out. If Rees is playing this year, that will be very telling. You can't turn the ball over 42 times a game and win. ND should be interesting to watch.

    I meant Golson, not Hendrix.

Star is right. As long as Kelly has a winning record this year, he will get a slap on the back and an extension. They are pretty much Pitt at this point but just haven't come to grips with it yet.

Why the delay in offering Kimbrough? I know he's considered a heavy lean, but he might not wait. Still puzzled why we have yet to offer Kimbrough. Would think signing Day last year would help a little getting our foot in the door. Are you guys still confident in Jaylon Smith ending up at tOSU? Last year I was saying all tOSU, but now it appears we are the leader. Has his brothers situation hurt tOSU, IYO?

I have no idea why we have not offered Kimbrough, we would all like an answer to that. Ya, it looks like u guys lead for Smith but i still think we have a shot. He seems real concerned about not being in his brothers shadow so ya it seems to be hurtings us for whatever reason.

Kimbrough has one of those conditional offers...meaning he'll get one if he performs well at camp. That was the deal with McCray but McCray obviously didn't want to wait. Hard to blame him.

His brother's shadow? His brother was a late qualifier, can't hold onto the ball, and rides the pine. Not much to live up to there.

The whole shadow analogy came from Jaylon. I agree there's not much of a shadow to worry about but whatever keeps him inspired.

I know the staff has been in constant contact with Kimbrough, but I have heard nothing of the sort concerning McCray. It was my understanding that McCray was rather sour after he was largely ignored on his visit to OSU.

McCray is pissed at tOSU that is correct.

McCray is a MIKE. That's where he is being recruited, and that's why we wanted him so bad. With all of the WILLs we took last year (RJS, Ross, Ringer) we wanted a true MIKE backer in this class. Now we really want Levenberry who we view as a SAM. Levenberry is the only way we take 3 LBs... we won't take both Gedeon and O' Daniel.

I agree. He hasnt said those exact words but stuff very similar. Rod i still think will be a good RB at tOSU IMO. To much talent and size.

Yeah-those two are on par with a guy who won 2NCs and went undefeated with Utah.

    1. This version of Meyer never won a National Championship. Name me one coach who flames out of the business and then comes back on top.

    2. RichRod thrived with great coordinators. Was that Meyer's recipes too?

    Peterklima

  • buckperry said...

Difference is Meyer isn't shopping for midgets. And it was RichRods players that beat Ohio State this year so he must not have been that far off.

Meyer may well end up with slightly smaller players. Everyone wants size and speed. You can only get a couple guys with both. After that, you have to chose which is relatively more important to you. Meyer may well end up with faster kids who are smaller than most B10 kids.

Most "experts" while aware he is being recruited as a MIKE are expecting him to be a SAM when all is said and done.
