    whats ur opinion on filling up ur class early?

    ive heard pros and cons for both filling early and waiting till signing day...

    for me, i guess it doesnt matter as long as u get who u want....nice pick up

    I see no reason in waiting. All the kids Michigan has picked up are pretty solid. 13 of the 15 are a 4 stars on at least 1 site.

    Plus this way it gives the staff time to work on a couple elite kids down the stretch.

    Isaac, and Treadwell come to mind.

    And also will give Michigan a head start on the 2014 class just like the quick start did in 2013.

    Pros: Picking the guys we want now. Getting early on guys we think are going to explode later.

    Neg: May miss out on other guys late. Some guys could decommit because of many reasons. Other kids may not have a good senior season.

    I agree, ultimately it doesn't matter...you still are trusting in the coaches to make the right bets.

    I am fine with it. They are getting guys that they want. I am sure our rivals would be happy if the recruits they offered had committed to them instead of to Michigan.

    I believe there are 19 open spots right now. Some guys on the team who have no chance in getting a 5th year though. 23-24 likely.

    We have 16 seniors leaving after this year, plus two obvious candidates for not getting 5th years, plus attrition should equal around 20-24.

    Also I believe we are at 83 scholarship players right now.

  • This is your best get from Ohio so far. Last year was his first year playing high school football, so we haven't even seen the best of him yet. I was really hoping he would hold off and get a chance to come down to OSU to show off his wares for the staff in person. Nice pick up.
