    Haven't gotten any word yet, but his final 3 are Michigan, Notre Dame, and Missouri.

    Notre Dame may have clawed back into the race for Mauk, so I can't even venture a guess. I'm sure something will leak, when someone hears something, please post it.

    For what it's worth, Ron Thompson is visiting Vanderbilt right now. He had a good showing at SMSB.

    I believe so. Mauk gets a bad rap because of his delivery and the offense he plays in. The amount of reps he's gotten at QB in high school will be an asset to whatever team he decides on.

    In addition, he'll fit well into our new offense with his quick decision making and quick release (although, I wish his release was higher).

    Character issues have also been assumed and overstated.

    It's highly unlikely Kiel ends up here, and Mauk is the next best (uncommitted) thing.

    Mauk is the best QB in Ohio. Ability-wise, Mauk is much better than Tyler O'Connor. I'm not sure why this site doesn't reflect that.

    I'm sure most of us are aware that Mauk will likely finish next season as the all-time leader for passing yards. What most people outside of Ohio don't know, is that he got pulled before the fourth quarter in most of his games. Last year, Mauk's back-up got roughly 1/5th as many passing attempts as Mauk did.

    Be cautiously optimistic. He's at Iowa this weekend, and is only planning to visit Michigan for camp before heading to MSU, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida.

    For us to have a better chance, he's going to have to really like the camp.

    His favorites (in order) are Tennessee, Michigan State, and Alabama.

    I think we would take Devin Fuller at QB and call it a day. If nothing else, he would be a stud RB at the next level. He's a play-maker and a game-changer imo.

    There's no one above Pipkins on our board at DT. Pipkins and O'Brien (or Day, or Johnson, or somebody else) would be a monstrous DT duo. If they both want to come, Mattison is a wizard.

    I'd go as far to say that Pipkins is the #1 recruit on the board period. Np matter what the position. The kid is an absolute game changer.

    We very well may only take on true DT in this class. With Ojemudia, Godin, Brown and Strobel on board, and Michigan looking great for Pipkins and Wormley (possibly Washington and/or Pittman as well) numbers are becoming a major issue. I'd look for Godin and possibly Wormley to slide inside.

    I agree about RB, but if not QB, I think Hoke would likely put him at WR.

    Also, Steve Elmer got his offer today.

    Bummer, would have loved to have him in our class. I wonder if he really did try to commit to us? Hopefully if his academics are as big of a problem that the coaches told him no, that he won't end up at MSU.

    I've been told he never tried to actually commit, but it was clear he was very interested in Michigan. The coaches asked him to slow things down a bit, but clearly he didn't want to.

    We'll survive, but it's definitely the best pick-up they've gotten this year.
