Turning down Pipkins would be a big mistake IMO. I would rather go without a QB or fullback. Pipkins is a game changer in a position that we desperately need.

With Wormley, someone that I have come to take pretty seriously with Michigan recruiting has said that he does not think Chris is high on their board. But the other pay sites swear that he is at the top. I guess it will be a wait and see who has the better info.

Yep... I personally think the kid is green. I know he is great friends with Godin, so hopefully Matt is in his ear!

I know Michigan remains in touch, however Cameron is very public about OSU being No. 1 at this point. I think something very bad would have to happen to the Buckeyes program, like no bowl games for a few years, to deter Burrows from playing in Columbus.

It's very early, but Burrows may be the top prospect in the state of Ohio in the class of 2013.

I think Shane could push for top player, but we'll have to see how these kids develop over the next year. Right now, it's easy to make a case for all three of these guys being the top player in the Buckeye State (hypothetically of course with Morris living in Michigan) and there are few other kids you could add to the argument.

And for argument sake, I'm not ready to say Morris is No. 1 in Michigan next year. I need to see more of Elmer in (pass pro), but from I've seen and heard, he's obviously pretty darn good. We'll see who else emerges.

One thing is for sure, there's a lot of Top50 talent in the Midwest in the class of 2013. There's a couple studs in Indiana as well.

TOM: How did the day go?

DANNY: Good, I tore it up. I didn't work out in the second part, I just kind of hung out and talked with everybody.

TOM: What was the outcome from this camp with Michigan? I know there was a discrepancy of sorts with being on the same page.

DANNY: There was basically some confusion during the spring on how they wanted things to go, and they told me they wanted me to come to camp and prove myself. They told me that there's basically only a couple defensive tackles with offers and they will probably only take one interior guy. They're going to recruit me really hard now and they gave me the pitch and everything.

TOM: So what's next? I know you told me the other day that you were going to come out with a top five soon.

DANNY: Yeah in July I'll come out with a top five. I don't have a leader anymore, I'm just going to evaluate all the schools in the top five and go from there.

TOM: Do you know when you want to have your final decision made?

DANNY: I'd like to take some official visits then make the decision late in the season or after the season, but I'm not sure yet.

MSU is up there with Tennessee for O'Brien, so Valenti could be trying to cook up a controversial "in-state H2H win" for the Spartans against Hoke (and Mattison). Hopefully, our fanbase is smart enough to realize that Valenti is only stirring the pot and trying to get ratings.

That's what happens when you come to camp and dominate. Hoke and co. weren't enamored with O'Brien's film from last year and wanted to see him in person. Once they did, they realized he is right up there with guys like Pipkins and made it known he is wanted.

I'm out of town for a few days, dealing with family things...it's good to know: that even w/o a true Michigan site here...I can find this thread and get back up to speed with all things Michigan football.
