  • Think all the people we have a shot at elsewhere and Shane Morris lined up for next year it should be Kiel, D. Fuller or nothing

Not a fan of his. His throwing motion needs a ton of work..

The attached clip shows the throwing motion in question @0:45.

  • ^ He definitely has enough arm strength. In some on his vids, there are clips where he throws it ~50 yards (not counting YAC).

I think it should be 1 of Kiel, Fuller, Coney, or no one.

I know that Coney's off-field issues are a concern but (from what I've read) I think he's turned things around.

I don't even think we're recruiting Coney very hard.

I'm pretty sure you're right about that. Brian Blackburn is a name that's been mentioned as a back-up plan.

  • AFAIK, we're not recruiting Coney hard.

However, I wonder if he's a contingency play.

I don't think a QB is necessary in this year's recruiting class but I understand that people don't like the idea of just 3 scholarship QBs (especially with 1 who is possibly redshirting) . I prefer that we use the scholarship for another defensive prospect.

I am actually hoping that Fuller will come to Michigan. I'm hoping that Hoke and Co. will realize that Fuller can be an amazing QB if Robinson adjusts to Borges's GCO and performs well this season.

I also like Brian Blackburn but it seems that the coaches aren't interested in him.

Blackburn will need a lot of polish... look towards the end of the video. His accuracy on harder routes seems to falter a bit. Anyway, he's somewhere on the board right now. I know Borges that has talked to him.

I'd still love to see us pick up someone surprising, like Tanner Mangum.

  • It's not that they're not interested, they're just waiting to see him at camp. Assuming Kiel and Mauk go elsewhere, and the coaches are absolutely deadset on taking a QB in this class, I would have no problem with an offer to Blackburn.

What about Appleby? Heard we are waiting on other big names first, but he will be one of the backup plans if he camps good.

  • Mangum is an intriguing prospect but I doubt that anyone can convince him to spurn BYU.

And it seems that we're third or lower (after Alabama and Oklahoma) for Kiel.

Hence, my top choice right now is Devin Fuller.

Kiel and Fuller would be my choices, but to be honest I didn't think we had much of a shot with them, especially Fuller who I would love to see in AA.

That's the one guy I really hope we do not offer. But that's just me.

  • I personally think we should skip a QB this year unless Kiel wants in. I'm not a huge Mauk guy, I think he'd be a much better fit at Missouri or some other throwing spread team. Shane Morris is going to be something special at UM IMO. The kid is only a sophomore and out performed Kiel a few weeks ago in Columbus. If they do offer a kid I wouldn't mind seeing Blackburn or Wes Lunt getting an offer. We are in on so many good players this year that I'd rather skip the position though. Of course if we can get Fuller in that would be great as well.

I really wish people would stop saying that Shane Morris outperformed Kiel at the OSU Nike camp. He didn't outperform Kiel, he was nearly as good... which is a very good thing for a sophomore, but everyone who was at the event pretty much Agreed that Kiel was the most polished and the better QB. Not by a ton though.

Well, I've heard it both ways. Here how about this. Shane Morris is going to be something special at UM IMO. The kid is only a sophomore and held his own against Kiel a few weeks ago in Columbus.

Yepper. He's really good and has a sexy offer list as well.

    MyBoyChuck

  • Down year for QBs for sure. I would not mind taking Blackburn late if he decides to hold out for an offer. He and Bellomy provide decent depth at least with numbers.

OL recruiting has really exceeding my thoughts. Big time year for OTs and they should be able to land 3 Top 15/20 type talents. Plus, Stacey is talked about as being very college ready and Braden is a road grader.

Love that the class is almost filled so that they coaches can focus on DT's and WRs.

    Muller visiting is awsome.

I don't know what in the heck to think. Only he and his family knows for sure, but I think Michigan is out of it. If you held a gun to my head I'd say OU, Bama and for some reason Indiana.

Will Saban take a Kelly commit??

Wrong person to ask. Saban usually surprises me when he takes some people. But thats why hes the coach and I'm the fan. I dont think Kelly is as high on us as Keil, Winston, and Lambert
