Yeah, I guess, but there was a lot of chatter pointing to FSU the past couple days so I'm a little surprised. Also, Mizzou is just so unexciting.

I don't think Florida want FSU in the SEC.

I doubt this is true (semantically) based on some things I have read recently. The SEC will not extend an official offer to a team to join if they are part of another conference. So there could very well be back channel offers, but the SEC would never admit, or give, and official offer until those teams officially announced they were out of the Big 12.

FSU won't join because Florida and Bama don't want them in.. Others have mentioned it, but it ruins their recruiting advantage to sell kids on the SEC. And FSU already is recruiting at an amazing level, so giving them the SEC would be very risky to current teams.

Ok, maybe they are unofficial offers. IDK. It's just what I read on an LSU board. Not sure what time, but I think there is an emergency meeting of SEC presidents today. Maybe this is leaking from that meeting.

"for once alpha I agree with you; if a kid openly flips us off and chooses our biggest rival (who happens to be someone he loathed growing up for) then I openly wish harm against him.

And for the people who do not wish injury consider this.

If an American male decides he wasnts to become a muslim, change his name to some towell head name and terrorize the USA or to preach ill will against us; is it ok to wish ill will?

I am by no means saying it is exactly the same or that CFB is the same as war, so please do not start bashing the post based upon that, I'm just trying to give an example of being a traitor."

I think I can top this. This is from BigBuckNutz. The thread was about Dunn's visit to michigan. He talks about how Kalis is a traitor.

"However, the active recruiting of other big time in-state prospects -INCLUDING those already committed to us -is total bullshit. Fuck this fat stupid ass bitch kid. Go pull a LeBron and go play with all your friends if you want, but don't try to make these other kids into the same type of blowing in the wind bitch that you are Kylie. I can only hope that Dunn has enough personal character and pride not to be swayed by this faggot."

Syria-style crackdown on disgruntled fans by event staff and campus police after Denard wouldn't finish 50 final autographs that people had waited 4 hours for. They started shoving people, and hurt a child. It was disgusting.

damn. that doesn't seem like Denard's style. That is unfortunate to hear and hopefully the athletic department rectifies that somehow.

Maybe not as bad as Syria, but they overreacted and hurt a child. Meanwhile the only people who got Denard's autograph cut the line because event staff didn't rope off the hills. This led to a-hole after a-hole cutting the line, while the line got no where and rounded Crisler. I started the day at the base of the stairs (Denard was at the top), and it took 3 hours to get to the top of the stairs (I didn't get Denard's autograph). The event staff continually told people at the base of the stairs that they were 30 minutes away, but they weren't. I barely made it up the stairs in 3 hours.

Only a Buckeye would be happy with how many tears that children shed at this event because they didn't get to see Denard. Some of the parents lost it after being honest and waiting 4 hours with nothing in return, and started chewing out the police, which led to the crackdown, and ended with at least 1 arrest. It was over fast with few witnesses, but seeing a toddler hysterically cry after pushed over because police/event staff decided to get rough with the crowd was horrible.

I'm frustrated with the disorganization of the administration of the event. I'm pissed at some of my fellow fans for being self-centered scumbags and cutting the line, which meant honest families didn't get to see Denard. I'm frustrated with the fact that the MDen made a ton of money. Most of all, I'm disgusted by the actions of the event staff and campus police and how they treated the fans.

The only people who came away happy from this event were either extremely lucky, or were line-cutting scumbags because of its disorganization. This event was an unmitigated failure that should fall directly on David Brandon, campus police, and the event staff.

Some are saying it's a legal move by the SEC to make sure that Texas/Big 12 won't file a suit against them. I don't know, we'll see but the Board of Regents is still meeting tomorrow to discuss it.

I fear it won't be viewed that way-- they definitely made a huge profit with how much merchandise people bought (in hopes of getting it autographed).

  • According to Ann Arbor.com, a third down back has been picked.

    Let the speculation begin...

Michigan has picked a third-down back, a plan for Denard Robinson's carries and 2 talented freshman

  • It seems apparent the event staff and police were not prepared for the larger-than-anticipated crowds. I don't know how much Dave Brandon, Denard, or even Hoke can be blamed. For the life of me, I can't figure out why it takes so long to get an autograph, but I also understand that they have to put some time limits on it, otherwise Denard would literally be there all day.

That's too bad you had a bad experience. I'm sure the ticked off fans will flood the air waves tomorrow, giving douche rocket Valenti more time to spew his anti-Michigan bile.

Wow that is terrible. Sad to say I am not shocked. Hear about things like that more and more. It is sad you even need security at events like this today but you really do. People cutting in line just builds frustrations and then people following the rules get the shaft. Would happen anywhere.

Have fanatics that make outlandish statements about players.... see quotes above... Thank goodness they do not represent the majority. Unfortunately they do tend to get the most attention for their behavior.

Sad to hear a child having to see adults behave poorly like it sounds. I am sure Robinson had to get somewhere and would have been more than willing to sign for all if time allowed. Just goes to show how things can get out of hand so easily when you mix emotions, passions, and the irresponsible behavior of the few.

Vincent Smith. Maybe Hayes could compete once he gets more reps, but Smith has been pretty impressive in the fall. He's gotta be the guy they're thinking of.

Shaw as the featured back, Smith as the third down guy, and Rawls as the short yardage guy. Boom.

Cant blame coach and Robinson at all IMO. Not sure how event staff could be caught off guard you put the most popular player on the most popular team to sign autographs and they are taken off guard by turnout?

I have been to only a couple events similar to that but everyone also wants kids to talk to their football heroes and take pictures taking up time. Denard is probably nice guy and accommodates them which slows process down. Sure he could sign hundreds of autographs an hour by blowing people off and giving a head nod but most fans want to shake hands and spend a couple seconds with the players as well.

It's the people with kids that got screwed over (they have better things to do, like raise their kids) and it was (hopefully) an isolated incident. I doubt it gets any publicity.
