Gentlemen, I'll do my best to monitor it on all sides. I just think if we avoid name calling head coaches, conversations will remain more civil. I think that's where it escalates from serious debate to you fellas are about to fight. I wasn't trying to put anyone on the spot. Just trying to keep this board healthy.

Ha, if it has to get real negative! I think you guys on both sides of the fence would agree that I'm unbiased to this whole rivalry, so again, I wasn't trying to call out OSU fans and not Michigan fans. I just jumped on this one and hope we can refrain from name calling head coaches and each other while having serious debate. That will keep the board healthy and make this board one people always want to come to chat or just read.

Tressel isn't a head coach.

What exactly IS negative recruiting? What exactly does Hoke have to say that could possibly smear OSU more than they've already smeared themselves? Do you think Tressel ever said to a recruit, "Son, look at the offense they're running in Ann Arbor. Do you think you fit that system? Do you have aspirations to play professionally? Do you think Coach Rod has a stable future at Michigan?"

It amazes me how so many people on boards pick on one persons opinion and run with it like it's a fact.

ALL-Buckeye...you are NOT stating fact because you simply don't know what Coach Hoke, Coach Tressel, or any other coach has ever said to a recruit.

There is a real lack of comprehension showing through with these two and their comments. "I'm committed, but" "I'm solid, but still looking", etc.

Huge red flags to be posted on their files IMO. Character and ability to meet academic requirements should be revisited.

Michigan will be fine either way but the concerted effort to draw attention and speak in mutually exclusive sentances publically by these two is something the staff should take serious note of.

Let's be honest here: A coach doesnt have to negative recruit OSU rightnow. You guys have currently done enough of that on your own merit.

A coach sells his university. Sometime during the selling process- you talk about the advantages your university has over another. Kinda like commercials on TV. Does Pepsi not tell you, they are better then Coke? Does Cottonelle not tell you, they are better then Northern? I'm sure Delta would much rather you fly Southwest...so they dont ever tell anyone what makes themselves better then Southwest. Ya....OK!

If you dont think that's exactly what Tressel did to Michigan ever since he's been at OSU...you need to put the pipe down my friend. First it was: "thier HC wont be around much longer" when Lloyd was still in Ann Arbor. Then it was: "dont you wanna go to the NFL? that wont happen running that offense & defense".

Try to look at it from a nuetral point of view before you "post reply"
