Michigan is the only blueblood......

Doesn't matter the time period. It happened, it counts.

Agree...clearly scUM is the blueblood of the pre-helmet, pre-forward pass, pre-Korean War era. After 1948...not so much. biggrin

LOL... you're most recent one is going on 12 years old man. Not sure you have room to talk.

compared to a very questionable one, and the one prior was 1948... not to mention your relevancy in the BCS era on top of the 7 straight losses to other blue bloods as mentioned by OP. Up for vote I'd say.

You really want to talk about questionable... after that PI call in the endzone? Really?

how about the blatantly obvious non-PI call in regulation? goes both ways in that game, sorry cupcake.

  • If Notre Dame is on the list then Michigan stays. Not counting last year they have been HORRIBLE and even Rich Rod owned them. I'm the last one to stick up for the boys in blue but if you're keeping Notre Dame after one season then Michigan stays too. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go wash my mouth out.

yeaaa I was going to post that, but at least with Holtz their last NC was in the late 80s.

Not to mention they quit playing us for like 40yrs once we started winning games.

So why is Notre Dame ending the series next year?

Troof. Michigan's last outright championship in 1948 was a long...LONG time ago.

These questions you're asking are dumb because eleven NCs and being #1 in all time wins/winning % get us in alone. Doesn't matter the time period. It happened, it counts. Nice try AZ, but Michigan is a blue blood no matter how much you try to think we aren't.

The OP had nothing to do with IF you were a Blue Blood, you guys clearly are....

Aside from the fluke last season (until its proven not to be a fluke) ya'll have been massively under achieving as well since damn near the Holtz era.

Because your relevancy on the field or lack thereof has been horrid. Last year was the first time anyone seriously had to talk about Notre Dame being in the national title hunt in well over a decade. And Nebraska has won a title most recently than Notre Dame.

azvalley doesn't think so. Apparently it wasn't clear enough for him if we had to lay out why we're a blue blood.

Ok I'm confused. Is a blue blood overall history or ''what have you done for me lately''?

pretty much the purpose to this thread.. voting OUT a blue blood based on more recent history. I'd say it goes Michigan first, then Braska, then ND. 2/3 are fairly close, though.

In the context of the OP it's what have you done for me lately. He's acknowledging that Michigan was a blue blood but with recent developments should they still be one. Overall history dictates that the list of 8 is pretty much etched in stone.

So by that logic would Florida and Oregon be IN as blue bloods?
