He basically got all those yards in the last half of the season. RB was a revolving door for the first half, no one stepped up.

    Yes it will

An your defense doesn't have to get shell shocked. Regardless how they take it, they'll be physically beaten to death.

I don't think Michigan's defense is exactly soft. Our LB's are going to be physical, fast, and tough. Our safeties are big and will lay the wood. Our corners aren't the toughest I will admit that.

I really think you are underestimating the talent on the defense Michigan has. As long as the DL doesn't get absolutely butt raped Michigan will be able to handle the defensive side of the ball fine.

Also Michigan is not a 1 trick pony on offense, stating so just shows your ignorance towards the truth. Toussaint had 1000 yards when he only started half the games, and is much improved according to reports. Our WR's while not flashy are no slouches. Roundtree holds Michigan record for yards in a game, Gallon is a shifty litter bugger who plays bigger and tougher than listed. And Jerald Robinson is ready to make a name for himself.

From what I understand Bama lacks a proven NT, but has great ends. That bodes well for Michigan, because Schofield and Lewan are both very good tackles. If you don't dominate the interior of Michigan's oline, you aren't going to dominate the LOS.

Thus far we've moved one of our ends inside. He can more than handle his own until a true NG steps up

  • I think everyone can agree that when you play a team like 'bama, it's better to play them in the first game. Everyone is vulnerable and there are question marks.

And? Michigan's d-line has a lot of talented guys on the roster, and 3 excellent DL guys teaching them.

Again you are just showing the Alabama arrogance.

I think what he means is that we return 4 of 5 of arguably the best OL from last year. That last spot we fill with Cyrus K.

From what I've gathered from talks with your fanbase is that your DL is still a little bit of a question mark

Our DL is the position i am most interested in seeing. We lost a lot from last year but we have moved some guys around to get more athletic. From what i have heard they have accomplished this but it remains to be seen if we can stop the run. That is the question now. Hoke and Mattison put a ton of emphasis on stopping the run so I imagine if they felt like the moves were going to make is too weak against the run they wouldn't have done it. Bama in the first game will definelty be the test to see how good or DL is going to be.

Absolutely it is a question mark. But the physical raw talent is there, just need to play well and not get butt raped.

I never said anything about Michigan doing well on the DL against Bama's OL. But if they don't get blown off the LOS by a couple of yards every snap Michigan's defense can hold up against Bamas.

Will Campbell (when playing low), and Roh are very good DL. They will win some snaps against any OL, especially Will when he uses proper technique.

Plus G-Matt is one of the best DC's in the nation hands down, guy is going to develop some scheme to slow the run. And Michigan's secondary is very good IMO.

This game isn't going to be a cake walk IMO. 24-14 is my super early predicition.

EDIT: I hope your team has the arrogance of some of your fans. If your team walks in to Dallas thinking this game will be a cake walk, expect to be very depressed come September 2nd.

Agree 100%...this is logic people! See Milliner in 2010...This isnt going to be the 2010 version of bama..IMO the only way to beat us is at our own game and throw the ball less than 20 times, and force us to throw the ball more.-DOING THAT IS THE PROBLEM-

  • Arkansas was probably the only team that had an offense comparable to Michigan's offense this year in terms of skill (not skill set, but just effectiveness of offense)

Denard is not Jordan Jefferson don't get that twisted. Penn State's offense blew nuts last year BTW.

This isnt arrogance...its knowledge, Barrett Jones (best OL in the country), Fluker and Warmack are considered by the NFL to be first rounders, and Cyrus K is a 3 year and out player..

And NFL first rounders means what exactly? Last time I checked Mike Adams is considered a first round talent and got beat a couple times by Craig Roh including for a safety. Will Campbell has 1st round raw physical ability, just hasn't put it together on the field consistently. I assure there will be some plays on September 1st where Will Campbell absolutely blows up your o-line.

Well Charles would be nice, Denard is pretty darn good himself.

Never seen anyone on Bama put up 500 yards on offense in a game have you?

EDIT: Also where exactly is the false bravado? No one has claimed a victory, or even predicted one. We just have said we won't get raped easily like some of you mouth breathers believe. Tough to see why some Bama fans have a reputation for being horrible.

M&B really hit on it, the raw talent is there, the coaching is there, we need to see it on the field though. Going off of Rivals since they reach back further, 5* DT William Campbell (starting NT and true senior), 4* DT Quinton Washington (RS junior), 4* DT Richard Ash (RS Soph), 4* DT Kenny Wilkins (RS Soph), 3* DT Jibreel Black (Starting DT and true Junior), and 5* DT Ondre Pipkins (true fresh).
