That may be true, but a majority of the service members I know (mostly USMC) dislike them because they're scum, but will tell you it is still their right per the first amendment. In other words (to paraphrase an older quote), they don't like what WBC says and does but defend it as their right as American citizens.

It sucks and they are pure scum, but you can't hinder one voice in favor of another. We want those rights, we have to take the good and the bad.

I can't help but wonder though, what would those idiots do if homosexuality was outlawed. I'm not saying we should, I've been quite clear about my support for gay rights, but what would they do? What would they use in their schemes then?
