Miss State Dawgs vs TAMU

  • Does MSU get the rest of their face sawed off this weekend, or do they keep some respect with a win?

  • Taking AtM to win, but kind of expect a good game with some good hitting from MSU. I expect AtM to give Bama a real game next week. LSU game will be extremely physical, and next week is the best time to get Bama. Additionally, they have the offense to stay alive for a while longer than most. I actually think it'll be closer than the Bama v. LSU game.

    As the token Aggie on this thread, I have a few things to say:

    I am very impressed by Mississippi State and the quality of the football they have been playing, last week being their first disappointment of course.

    I would very much like to win this game, but do not think A&M will be able to do so. I have MSU making fewer mistakes and therefore taking the win.

  • If Mullen can keep the dream alive, MSU picks up a nice win, and TAMU will pickup two losses against MSU/Bama and learn about life in the SEC.

  • i think aggy wins, but the truth is no one has any clue if msu is any good, because bama's the only good team they've played and they're going to beat everyone. wouldn't surprise me in the least if msu won, but aggy looks like the better team right now.

    Hit the nail on the head. I'd love to be 100% confident in this game but Miss State has played a bunch of sub-par teams and then the most dominant team in the country... pretty hard to get a good feel for them.

    I could see it going either way.

  • MSU has beaten 7 awful-mediocre teams and hasn't looked great doing it. That Tennessee game at home was really a 3 point game until a few seconds left, they barely beat Troy, they beat Auburn and Kentucky but who hasn't?

    A&M has played some good football teams. They played LSU and Florida very close and had legit shots to win both. At Ole Miss looks like a better win since the Rebels aren't as bad as we thought. A&M has also crushed the teams that good teams are supposed to crush unlike MSU. They beat Arkansas by 48 and Auburn by 42.

    A&M is the better team and MSU is coming off a deflating, physical loss to Alabama. A&M wins by 14.

    THIS, aTm allowed 50+ points to LA TECH, and turned it over 6 times at OM, and needed epic plays by the QB to win at the end. We win the TO battle tomorrow and win the game

    This doesn't make sense. We had 6 tos at ole miss and still won. But you win the To battle and win?

    Lost to two top 10 teams by a total of 8 points...both games that we led by double digits but couldnt close.

    Miss State has played one ranked team (although they are elite) and was dominated across the board and was never in the game.

    Ole Miss isnt a terrible team and we played about as bad as we could have played by giving them 6 turnovers AT THEIR HOUSE, at night, and we still found a way to win.

    La Tech- we were up 28-0 and let our foot off the gas.... almost gave that one away. Not going to act like the defense didnt blow ass in that game but that was a ranked team, on the road, that will probably have one loss (to us) on their schedule at the end of the year. That being said, we should have won that game going away.

    You're right, you should definitely hang our season on those games. I hope your players feel the same way.

  • No need in looking at previous games for either team. It is a toss up game and alot depends on either team winning. If msu runs the ball alot in the 1st half atm will a tired and msu can start moving the ball at will and keep the atm offense off the field. The key for us to win will be to keep johnny football in the pocket and make him beat us passing. For atm to win they need to hit us hard and fast on offense and get up big like bama did us. They need to do the same as us and sustain long drives and score points. This game will probably be a somewhat high scoring game. Mid 30's for both teams. I think msu will win 38-31
