Mitt Romney...... They really expect us to vote for him?

  • Guy is as fake as midsummer Auburn bravado. First time in a long time I won't be voting. Not that it matters. He'll win Georgia and most of the South going away. Seriously my conservative brothers. The only way we'll ever get a decent candidate is if we reject this moron.

  • 1. I go by what I was always taught: "if you can't say anything nice (aka vote), then do not say anything at all." So, in this respect, I chose not to vote.

    2. Neither candidate has potential to improve our country. It is a sad state of affairs when a) a worthy candidate refuses to run for office and/or b)voters are so apathethic that they would rather not vote than endorse those two clown shoes.

    3. The problems our country has are much greater than POTUS and Congress effectively eliminates any progress any candidate COULD MAKE in the name of political party pride.

    4. The only people that seem to vote or care abt this election are the extremes of each party. Working people who need our economy to run well and people who need help do not have time for political BS and their rhetoric. Nonetheless, people in these extremes continue to be blinded by their own allegiance to a party that most of them don't even know/understand their own party's platform.

  • I just can't believe the sad state of te conservative party. It makes it hard when you're a socially moderate guy and a fiscal conservative. Socially, I could care less what's going on outside my walls. Republicans have basically claimed religion and that pisses me off. Then they trot out a guy like Romney. I watched him carefully at the RNC. Did you see his face at the end when he said " I accept the nomination, blah, blah, blah". Holy hell. He almost made me puke. It was fake. He's a freaking moderate at best. He's a lying POS. He is literally the definition of a candidate who wets his finger, sticks it in the air and sees which way the wind is blowing. I truly believe a POTUS does have the power to change this country. The problem is, we haven't had one strong enough in his ideals to sale it.

The current state of our country is the product of 30 years worth of presidents. I'm afraid in the grand scheme of things, no one can fix this. It's all a big money game and at this point every president is simply a new gear for the wheel that will keep on going no matter what. I just hope China doesn't completely own us in 20 years.

don't be a shitty american. if you aren't happy w/ who the repubs/dems put out there, vote 3rd party. it's just a worthless, but at least you aren't being apathetic.

Just to play Devil's Advocate... For example, if a two company's are selling overpriced electronics, say cell phones, what is the common call to action to people to drive the prices down (assuming competition and capitalism is failing us)? "Well, just don't buy them, then." Why does the same not apply to voting? If both candidates suck, why not just abstain and say, "No, I'll vote when a candidate deserves it."

the call to action is to buy the 3rd, less expensive option.

the same does apply to voting, because not voting is allowing the status quo, just like not buying any phone at all doesn't send a message that you want phone service, but at a lower price. voting for someone OTHER than the rep/dem candidate sends a message that you care and you don't like what the 2 dominant parties are offering up.

I think it only happens if we vote for someone who is neither Dem nor Rep. You'll never find a "cheaper option" for gas between all the suppliers, but you could always buy a bike...

Props to Obama for being a man of his word. He promised to bankrupt coal companies and he is succeeding. 1,200 more jobs lost today in my neck of the words. One local manufacturing company informed their employees that was their largest customer and they will have significant layoffs as a result.

Hopefully they can get jobs in natural gas.

Just an FYI, unless America repents of her sins and returns to God and her foundational principles, there aint a candidate, party, or solution to our downward spiral. You can slam religion in general and Christianity in particular and blab, blab, blab about politics and ideals, but in the end Gods word will stand true. Also, if you're not interested in repentance and faith towards Christ, you might want to read the newspaper headlines of the not too distant future in Revelation Chapter 6.... dont ever say you werent warned.... adios amigo
