While I'd rather vote 3rd-party than Obama, the fact of the matter is that Obama cares a whole hell of a lot more than Romney does about a whole hell of a lot more of the population.

Romney's already written off at least half the population as not worth his time purely because of socioeconomic status.

Obama claims to care, but you're a fool if you actually believe he does. He sold his soul to get to where he is, and he only does stuff that he is told to do by those that got him there.

Literally less than 24 hours ago more allegations of sexual abuse at the hand of a priest emerged.

Yeah, accepting Christ sure saved and changed him...apparently, into a pedophile.

You do understand that everyone who calls themselves a CHRISTIAN is not, dont you?

This is the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. Are you saying everyone who identifies as a Christian and subscribes to Christian beliefs but does something particularly bad isn't really a Christian?

Agree to disagree then. I cannot accept the idea that living as a good person is not an important factor. I have a hard time believing that some old bloke, one of those deep-rooted types, who talks about how black people and the gays are ruining this country but says 100 Hail Marys a night, is considered a "good person" in the eyes of God.

Not to enrage the Catholics here, but saying "Hail Mary's" doesnt help anyone.... not the person saying them, not Mary, and certainly not Jesus...

As I said before, I'd rather vote 3rd-party, but I'm pragmatic - I recognize that my vote going to a 3rd-party candidate is tantamount to me voting for Romney, and I think the country will go to hell in a handbasket with Romney at the helm.

I agree that Obama has a fair amount of support from very wealthy donors. I think it's wildly inaccurate to say that he "only does stuff that he is told to do by those that got him there." Do you really think supporting gay marriage was something that the vast majority of his wealthy donors told him to do?

So, just so ask: What Christian denomination do you follow? And, if you may, what year was said denomination founded?

I didnt say that... of course Christians are capable of sin... to repeat, I said everyone who identifies themselves as Christian isnt.... deduce from that as you will

I think what you mean to say is: "Not everyone who identifies as a Christian is a Christian."

But here's my question: what makes a Christian? What differentiates between a Christian and someone who identifies as Christian but, in your mind, clearly isn't actually Christian? How do you tell the difference?

What proof does he have to say that what he believes is true? By your logic, until I get some proof that God exists, everyone should STFU about God.

Until I get some proof that he/she/it exists, yes. My beliefs have solid evidentiary backing - the existence of a God doesn't fall into that category.

You're welcome to present me with legitimate evidence to prove me wrong though.

I have yet to actually call him wrong on anything. But I appreciate the classic, "Can you prove I'm wrong? Then I'm right!" logical fallacy. I'm pretty sure that's the same line of thinking we used to use when we thought the world was flat.

Simple. Everything has a cause... traced back to the beginning there must be an "Un-caused Cause" that caused everything.... thats God... His creation reveals His existence... His Son reveals His heart

what makes a Christian a Christian has been previously stated... how can you tell? Answer: (Matthew 7:15-23) (John 13:34-35)

Matthew 7:15-23 states that: "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."

John 13:34-35 states that: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Are you seriously saying that the only way someone is a "true Christian" is if they do good things and love one another? What about someone who does good works their entire life but doesn't believe in God - are they a Christian? What about every preacher who demonizes gays - are they not Christians?

You have proved there has to be a creator. You have yet to prove that it is your god.

You can't prove the existence of God. That's the entire point of having faith.
