    What you are seeing is the difference in frames per second. COD runs at 60 because there is nothing to that game. Tiny maps, no vehicles, not many players in the match, ect... battlefield runs at 30 frames per second because there is a lot more to the game. Huge maps, vehicles, 24 player servers, ect... Battlefield graphics > COD graphics, but COD is smoother because its less of a game and they can have a higher frames per second because of that.

    Now, the reason COD sold that many is because that game is a fad. People buy it just because their friends are. Hell, the 2 days I had it(seriously, 2 days) the only thing I heard on the mic were people saying that same thing. They hate the game, they just play it because its what their friends do. Also keep in mind that COD caters to kids and the casual player. Battlefield is a harder FPS, which turns away the kids(thank God) and casual player. Kids dominate the COD market because its easy.

    I don't know why BF3 players are so defensive. The results speak for themselves, imo.

    CoD is the equivalent to Transformers. Just because it sells well doesn't mean it is a quality game.

    Not defensive, just knowledgeable about the demographics of both games. COD targets kids so they get those sales. Battlefield targets the more skilled player, so they get less sales, but still sell millions. Nothing wrong with either strategy, IMO. Nickelback breaks sales records....

    Not true, and he took my statement out of context. What I mean by "targeting the skilled player" is making the game more difficult for the casual player/young kids. COD is great at what it is. It is an easy shooter that is meant to pick up, play, and be good.

    Battlefield is a team oriented game. Going lone wolf isn't a good idea. You also have bullet physics. The bullets drop, and you must lead your target if they are running. COD has laser bullets that have no travel time.

    There really is countless things I could name, but if you enjoy COD then more power to you. The last one I really likes was COD4. WaW was OK, but anything after that Activision really showed their laziness by copying and pasting the previous game, adding maps, and then selling it for $60.

  • MW2 was the last good COD game to come out. COD is just running out of things to keep the game interesting. It's a dying series and I wouldn't recommend buying the next game.

  • COD sucks a bag of dicks. Watered down with killstreaks, 12 year olds cursing everyone and throwing hissy fits, campers everywhere, no team play whatsoever, and terrible map layout. Battlefield is superior to COD in every way. It's been the same game/engine for six straight years..what a joke.

At the end of the day all that really matters is that you enjoy the game you play. I don't give a shit if you play hello kitty's island adventure. If thats what you enjoy I'm not gonna hate on it.

  • Ah, spawn camping is when people from the opposing team wait at all the spawn locations to kill you.

    They really just need to set it up so that you spawn as far from enemies as possible.

    Also, I used to love CoD but now I've gotten so tired of all the BS I'm going to try out BF3.

    COD is running on an engine from 2004. Battlefield is running on an engine that was created in 2011. Battlefield graphics are far superior than COD's outdated cartoon look.
