Yeah, he does. I live in Elmer's hometown and always heard from public school workers that he wore ND clothing all the time. So I never expected UM to get a sniff. But it makes ya pull your hair out when top instate players "take their talents" elsewhere. Rojo, Nick Perry, Vernon Gholston and now Steve Elmer.

It's whatever I mean some kids just want to get out of state.

I thought he lived in the suburbs outside of Detroit like Wyatt Shallman.

  • Elmer? Or the top instate guys of the past that went out of state? Elmer is from Midland, MI aka "sparkle city". Its a safe, clean white collar city. I was saying "especially Detroit" about the likes of Rojo, Perry and V. Gholston leaving the state, because I thought they were all inner city Detroit kids. Rojo was Muskegon I believe, but thats just as bad.

Ahh alright I thought you were referring to Elmer as wanting to get out of Detroit.

  • Rojo, Gholston, Perry, etc. leaving had nothing to do with wanting to get out of the "inner city." Michigan jerked Vernon Gholston around and liked Eugene Germany better (mother of god). Perry was always lukewarm on Michigan; that was one that Lloyd should've been able to close the deal on well before Rodriguez arrived. Rojo...........no comment.

Having Perry on the DL the last few years would've been something special; especially last year. Best pass rusher the PSL's ever produced.

Great to see Michigan targets move up. Interesting that Taco moved up, isn't it Buckeyes? In your opinion, where does Hargreaves end up?

Buckeye fans aren't saying he isn't talented. We say that we find it interesting he is a national recruit when his HS coach doesn't even start him.

Rankings always love the combine stars. This kid's size and speed translate to being a good player. He also flashes this in games which is why the highlight tapes they use show the same thing. Lets see what we see this year in actual games.

FOR THE LAST TIME: HE STARTS! Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.

No offense. The Buckeye "non-love" for Taco started long before he committed up north. Many Buckeye fans were crying about him not having an offer while many others were talking about how he only "played" partial games.

Good luck with him either way. I always root for kids from Ohio with the exception of when they are playing against OSU. Well and Charles Woodson and Desmond Howard. I never and will never root for either of them.

What's not to love about an extremely athletic 6-6 240 lb DE. I'm going to laugh so hard when OSU offers.

Bucks loaded up on DEs in 2012 recruiting class anyways. And with their scholarship penalties, they probably were just slowplaying him because they didnt need him really. Which is fine with me, I love his potential. I wonder what Taco projects as? WDE or SDE? WDE is getting pretty crowded with Frank Clark and now Brennan Beyer moving over from the SAM. Our defensive scheme requires a SDE to take advantage of 1 on 1s or take a double team and free up the SAM. So if Taco can bulk up and keep his athleticism, I would be estatic at seeing him anchor the SDE position in the future with Wormley. The future is bright!

Didnt Brian Kelly offer Jake Butt the day after he committed to us? Dantonio probably "pulled his offer" to pump up his fanbase. Whats with these guys?

Mixed reports on the Butt ND offer but I bet it eventually comes and Dantonio is still pissed about the 2012 class finish.

    THIS

OSU was slow playing him. The rest is spin. Taco is definitely a top 7-12 player in the state. If they want to lockdown the state, he is the type of player they would need to get. This is why I still believe Urban's tenure recruiting is going to be different than Tressel's.

Only that he doesn't go hard enough or isn't in good enough condition to play every down on his HS team. If someone can give me a quality answer as to why he doesn't play more downs like someone of his skill level would on a HS team, I will quit bagging on the kid being rated so high.

Well I gave you two options. You laugh at one which is fine because I don't know the answer. My other choice was he just chooses not to go hard.

What is your reason behind why he doesn't play the same amount of downs normal players of his skill would play?

Before we continue down this road. I would like a link to this being the truth. Not random message board fodder, but an actual account of this being the truth and not a rumor.

  • Watch the games of his team on television. Herbstreit Classic is an example.

I like many of us cannot see all of these players play in person other than highlight tapes. Many times I go off what knowledgable posters place on here and what the staff writers post.

Just to be sure. I went and asked one of Bucknut's staff writers today. He says he has seen Taco in person several times, and it has been the case each time.

No link to and article saying, just the word of someone who hates the school he committed to. Step back and actually read what you wrote. Your claim is based on nothing but message board fodder. I will take the word of guys who do this for a living here and at other recruiting sites, not to mention the teams that offered, over that of random internet posters.

I'm confused. Did you not read everything I wrote? I said Bucknuts STAFF writers. They do this for a living. I also said people were able to see him on television in the Herbstreit Classic. Also, these "rumors" started way before he committed to Michigan so it isn't because he committed to them.
