  • Just my take here on 11-15...

11- LSU- Tre'Davious White- Tigers got him before his stock skyrocketed.
12- Texas A&M- Kohl Stewart- it was important to keep him in the boat after the way early commitment. Aggies will have a potential replacement for Johnny Football in a few years if he develops.
13- FSU- Ryan Green- looked to be heading out-of-state, but as the Noles do, they rallied and got him.
14- South Carolina- Larenz Bryant- Gamecocks went and beat Georgia, Florida and Clemson on the No. 1 prospect in North Carolina at a position of need.
15- Virginia Tech- Kendall Fuller- Losing Fuller would have been tough to swallow, plus the Hokies will likely need him next season as they lack depth in the secondary.

  • Hamilton made some very good points about those guys and maybe they will be able to help us in Virginia for the 2014 class. I think he could be right about that. But I'd have to agree with JC on this one so far with Derrick Henry. He seems to have taken the role as leader around there for us and recruited the heck out of the remaining guys in both 2013 and 2014. If we sign Tunsil (who we really, really need) then Henry is worth two ships.

Strictly from a needs perspective only, and only counting the guys we have committed, I would say QB Cooper Bateman, OT Leon Brown (JUCO), TE OJ Howard, or RB Tyren Jones.

You are in trouble if you are counting on Johnson to help next year. I don't know if that's what you are getting at or not, but Auburn's new staff (or new offensive staff) needs to go find a JUCO quarterback like yesterday.

I thought about Bateman for Alabama. I really did. That next QB for Alabama is going to be so key.

I don't disagree with you guys on Henry either. His commitment has been big, and should be felt down the line.

I thought about Wiggins and know he's done UGA well in that regard. I went with Ramsey because behind the scenes, he laid a lot of groundwork last summer. Combine that with Ramsey being a quarterback (highest position value) with a big arm and Wiggins being an undersized corner and I went with Brice.

I think that is dependent on the coaching situation and scheme, but just me. QB recruiting is so much about scheme, fitting into a scheme, etc...

I would add Josh McNeil to that list also. Him enrolling early will help out tremendously in replacing Mike Williams. I hope Faciane is ready to go there in '13 also. I liked him a lot as a recruit.

Most certainly agree Ramsey is the bigger recruit. He was the spark plug too last summer. Of course, his influence obviously waned on Henry.

Wiggins has been one of the best recruiting recruits we've ever had at UGA. If UGA seals the deal in recruiting, much of it will be because of Wiggins' recruiting.

  • With the way this year is going if we would have lost K. Fullerpanicfingergun

I think there will be an adjustment period for McNeil. The quicker he gets through it, the better the chances he can help early.

  • Morris is a no brainer for Michigan. On the defensive side, Dymonte Thomas would get my vote.

I think LTT deserves honorable mention - our LT of the future, he's shown a demonstrated commitment to improving himself constantly (lost so much bad weight over the summer) and he's been our 2nd-best recruiter behind Morris.

Yes. He was about as much of a must-get as there can be in football recruiting.

Agreed that LTT has been a solid recruiter and that helps a ton.

Thomas might be able to be grouped in with the other the Ohio recruits from the last 2 years. They have kids from Ohio wanting to visit Michigan to see why so many kids are turning their back on tOSU and going to Michigan.

  • For Ohio State I think a strong argument can be made for Michael Hill. Big Hank is gone after this year.

  • I thought that Reuben Foster was having a bad year, maybe due to his injury. Am I wrong? Is he going to finish the year a five star?

  • Jaylon Smith is the obvious choice, but getting Cole Luke last week was huge.

He has been dominant in most games this year for Auburn High both at RB and LB.

I was definitely referring to his impact down the road. Under a guy like Petrino or Fisher, Johnson could be a star.

I guess I should warn you, if I turn out to be particularly clear, you've probably misunderstood what I've said.
