2007 LSU was tough, but 2005 was tougher because it cost us a trip to the SEC title game and possibly a BCS game.

We started with a loss to Georgia Tech, but then went on a tear and played great football the rest of the year. The only SEC loss was in OT at #7 LSU in a game in which we missed FIVE field goals, including one that would have won it at the end, and another that cost us the game in OT.

We outgained LSU 451 to 339 and should have won fairly easily. But instead, we finished the year 9-2, 7-1 in the SEC, instead of 10-1 and a second straight 8-0 SEC record. We would have played Georgia in the SEC championship game, which would have been a rematch of one of the best games I've ever seen (we beat Georgia 31-30 in Athens that year after getting to the goal line on a 4th down play deep in our territory to kick the game winning field goal with under a minute).

So that one sucks the most because of what it cost us.

Second for me is a tie of the two unexplainable losses in 2006. First, when we were #2, we lost to Gus Malzahn's Arkansas trickery at home. Then we got back up to #5 at 9-1, but got blown out at home by a mediocre Georgia team. Both were unexplainable, as we had beaten #6 LSU and #2 Florida, but then lost those two games. Idiots.

07 title game, 09 bama, 10 LSU, 10 north Carolina, 01 title game. So many choices it is sad

You better get used to the feeling.

I feel sorry for your fanbase because you guys are going to suffer for things that you had no control over.

The 13-9 L was terrible, though. Kept SC out of the 2007 MNC.

I was negative two years old, but I'd have to add losing the SEC title in 1972.

Auburn and Alabama both finished with 1 loss in conference play, with Auburn beating Alabama head-to-head. But Alabama played an extra conference game (vanderbilt) and finished 7-1 to our 6-1, taking the conference title by percentage points.

Just sucks because we finished 10-1 that year and an SEC title would have been nice.

Not as bad as the '09 SEC title gm for me.

When Lane Kiffin got on College Gameday Live and picked Bama, that morning, I damn near caught a case. On the ride home from ATL, for some reason, I called my uncle (a UT fan) and cussed him out, lol.

Toledo at home. And don't say App St was worse cause they were actually good team.

losing to msu in 96 (i believe)....

were number 1 and undefeated and lost to msu at the shoe, ended up runnin the table from there and beat arizona st in the rose bowl...would have got the natty if not for that loss...
