Most cursed teams in the major three American sports?

  • I'm not asking the worst franchises of the three but the most cursed. You can't blame cursed on shitty ownership or something like that.

    NFL:

Browns - They have a rabid fanbase and Art Modell picks up and moves the team. I guess that could somewhat fall under ownership category but basically right after they move to Baltimore the team becomes a contender every year. They have to start over and the Ravens have a Super Bowl ring and will probably win more as long as Ozzie is at the helm.

    NBA:

Trail Blazers - This one isn't even close to me personally. I mean how many injuries can one team get fvcked with? Sam Bowie never does jack due to injuries. Greg Oden never does jack due to injuries. They actually draft Brandon Roy who looked like he was going to be a perennial all-star and one of the greatest guard in the game. Retired at the ripe age of 26 I believe. To make it worse on Bowie and Oden they passed on Durant and Jordan. The worst part of it is that I think every single NBA team would have chosen Bowie over Jordan and Oden over Durant in those respective draft years. I feel bad for them because they have leadership that wants to win.

    MLB:

Cubs - Enough said. They spend money every year to get better and just can't get a World Series ring. If I were a Cubs fan I would just murder every billy goat that I saw in person in a flash and I hate animal cruelty.

    Anyway what you think?

The Cubs just have shitty management IMO. They did get some bad luck with Prior and Wood.

  • The Browns level of curse-dom is simply epic. The all-time cursed team has to be between them and the Cubs.

The Redskins have Super Bowl victories and not near as long ago as some other teams. The Nationals are on their way up and will be in the playoffs this year (I believe). Well the Wizards are just the Wizards but the Bullets had some good teams back in the 70's didn't they?

I actually loved going to Hurricanes games when I lived in North Carolina. I don't pretend to know dick about hockey but I did enjoy going to the games live.

Both suck. Hockey just sucks much less.

Cavs were going to be my second pick for the NBA. The Indians being the team in "Major League" keeps them out of the discussion lol

probably the leafs. they sell out of season tickets and pack the place every night despite sucking for the better part of 45 years. They have some of the most passionate fans in all of sports despite not winning a cup in 45 years. They've been continually screwed over by bad ownership and management.

No offense but f*** off man! Cleveland sports fan here. Don't come at us like you have worse luck than Cleveland. We have the Browns (everyone's NFL pick) and the Indians (second longest WS drought behind the Cubs). IGAF about the NBA or the Cavs but I'd say losing Lebron and the fall that team has seen is rough as well.

    Cleveland (unfortunately) wins this thread.

It sucks and few times we've been given hope only for ....Red Right 88, The Drive, The Fumble, The Move, Jose Choke and The Decision.

    Buck that

  • I actually guess you could also lump in the Bucks (or Minnesota) with the Trail Blazers in the NBA if not jump them ahead. You have Kareem and then the team moves to LA and we all now how that one turned out.
