Mountain cabin help...

anybody been to Bryson City, NC?
if so can you provide any help.
other suggestions are wanted also (GA or NC)
(I'm looking for a cabin on a mountain)

My family has a place up in Rabun County, GA (extreme NE corner of GA). Beautiful area there around Lake Rabun, Lake Burton, Tallulah Falls, etc. Very convenient from the Atlanta area as well. I would highly recommend that area.

One other suggestion, Highlands, NC. Has turned into kind of a spa retreat but there is a lot to do around that area.

We pass through Mt Airy NC on our way to a vacation home and thinks its a beautiful area. Right there near Pilot Mountain. Great panoramic views.
MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

I helped some folks move their stuff out of their mountain/lake house up there after the tornadoes. The damage was unbelievable, crazy.

Yeah we were lucky to dodge it. One of Saban's (two) places was wrecked pretty bad. Boat house about 10 down from us broke away from its foundation and was floating in the lake. We're over on Murray Cove (public access area, directly across from where they shoot the fireworks off of) been there since the '60s when land was $7.00 an acre.

My folks place isn't on the water (over on Long Mountain) but my dad's boat is at Anchorage Marina and that place just missed getting destroyed. I think there was only 1 casualty on the lake which is amazing considering the damage.
