Figured I'd start a thread where we can always talk about recent flicks we've seen, movie trailers, stuff on Netflix, etc.
I'll post some new trailers to get this thing started. Here's the trailer for the remake of The Thing. The original was great, hope this is just as good.

I honestly don't think it's a great movie or anything but not sure how someone would give it a bad review... definitely a lot of time and thought went into it. I hate to see things like that get a bad review while cookie cutter comedies have people tripping over themselves to get in the door.

The story is kind of a mess I agree. But done so on purpose. It's just told in a strange, reflective way. Like more of a symphony than a movie. Critics seem to love it for the most part but audience reviews haven't been near as kind. The movie wasn't meant to be made for everyone to enjoy. That's probably why I appreciate it so much.

Comics? The first John Carter story was written in 1912, not exactly a comicbook as we know them. More of a serial. But either way it looks like it's going to be bad.
