AI - Artificial Intelligence ( I don't know why, but I liked it )
Pauly Shore Movies ( Im sorry, they crack me up )
Blue Chips ( GREAT Movie IMO, the speech at the end still cracks me up and is top 3 all time scenes IMO in sports movie history... it might be #1 )
Club Dred ( laughed my balls off with one friend while the 7 or so others thought we were crazy )

Has a cult following but I enjoy the hell out of Army of Darkness, and Evil Dead 2 for that matter.
I don't know if people hate it or don't know about it but Thank You For Smoking was thoroughly entertaining.
As a kid I loved UHF with Weird Al, don't think many people liked that.
Did people hate Pitch Black? I liked that
I am sure there are many others, but I don't think I have a good feel on what people hate.
Deserve got nothing to do with it...

Scott Pilgrim. Everyone but a few people I talked to hated it. Unless you are in the music scene or a gamer a lot of the references in that movie go over your head.

I enjoyed that movie no doubt, very different but I could follow it
Good movie IMO that I can certainly see the vast majority hating

The elephant in the room is the romantic comedies all of us are too scared to admit too. I'm married. By default I have to watch the occasional romantic comedy. I admit, there are some I've enjoyed. Most suck though.
As far as movies people hate but you like, I am blown away that movies like Gandma's Boy or Hot Rod were even mentioned. Fantastic films.
I always get made fun of for being a loyal fan of "Big Trouble In Little China". But everyone just needs to admit, the absurdity of this film is awesome and entertaining.
Both "Dark City" and "In The Mouth of Madness" flat bombed in the box office. And I am an enormous fan of both. I love films where you find out the reality you thought you were living in isn't.
I'm a pretty forgiving movie watcher. If it keeps my attention then it automatically gets a passing grade. From there the sky is the limit. There are some movies, however, I am absolutely certain I am going to hate. For instance, I'm not going to waste my time and watch "Passion Play".
But, in the spirit of this thread, I admit that I am truly embarrassed to say I am a fan and enjoy the movie "Eragon". I will now sign off in shame.
