No jealously here, buddy.
I respect Hackenberg and think he'll be a phenomenal QB at Penn State for you guys. However, I like Browne just as much, if not more.
Neither Penn State nor USC fans should be jealous right now. Instead, they should be rejoicing.
By the way, where's all this Max Browne hate coming from? People are calling him overrated on the premise that he's committed to USC. It's funny how they can't judge him on his own merits. At the AA game, he led the west squad to the game-winning or go-ahead (I forget which) drive.
I bet if Browne committed to, say, Bama, people would be calling him great.

Max Browne should win that award. Different criteria than prospect rankings, which are long-term projections.
We have our All-American teams coming out soon. They will be categorically different than our rankings. I can't imagine having Hack over Browne on an AA team for this year.

They rank the players on their future potential and ability to get into the NFL. They have 32 5 stars because there are 32 NFL draft picks in the 1st round. Hack has the most NFL potential, there is no arguing this. Browne might have a more polished game at this point and throws with better accuracy, but Hack's potential is insane, the kid has it all.

Point out who the #1 QB really was? Just like the Heisman shows who the #1 NFL prospect is, right?
Seems very insecure to me, but I guess that's how it goes. I like getting the #1 QB

Well I have the potential to be the OC Housewives (after all I live in OC)...that doesn't mean I will be...the rankings should reflect what the kids are doing now, not what they think they will do...Jamarcus Russell's potential was insane...look where that got him....Purple Crunk....and a waste of talent....

Recruiting is all about potential. What a kid plays like now means nothing because what they are now most likely isn't good enough. Hack has every single tool needed to be a big time QB, Browne has some great tools, but his potential in any area probably isn't as good as Hack's is. You can give me a bunch of examples of guys who people didn't think highly of that turned out to be great players and I'll give you 10x more guys who people thought highly of and they turned out to live up to the potential.
Both are great QBs, Hack is #1 though. Quite frankly it isn't close either.

No worries about you, man. Was referring to the OP and those actually showing jealousy. I like Browne, but when someone specifically points out that his award specifically didn't go to Hack...well, it certainly smacks of envy.

Mr. Football...is it Christian Hackenberg?.....NO it's...
