Ty Segall - Twins Thee Oh Sees - Putrifiers Diiv - Oshin Cat Power - Sun Divine Fits - A Thing Called Divine Fits Beach House - Bloom Sigur Ros - Valtari The Walkmen - Heaven Spiritualized - Sweet Heart Sweet Light Dan Sartain - Too Tough To Live Lotus Plaza - Spooky Action At A Distance Swans - The Seer Liars - Wixiw Jack White - Blunderbuss

I left off Sigur Ros by accident. Wondered why I had 19.

A couple of others I liked were Titus Andronicus and Ty Segall's Slaughterhouse. I haven't checked out Twins yet.

When I get my list up, I'll have to show some self control and limit it to around 20 like you did.

Btw, did you hear the recently released Wiseman by Frank Ocean? Stuff like this and Channel Orange are the reasons why he is going to be on everyones list for 2012.

Haven't this one yet, I like.

Yeah I tried to keep it manageable this time with the list.

Short end of year list --- not sure if any of these will have lasting power... nothing is really standing out to me for 2012.

Japandroids Tame Impala Jack White Beach House Bob Dylan The Babies Sonny and the Sunsets My Best Fiend

    **forgot the Divine Fits

Jack White was good, forgot that one too.

I told you that the Dylan one was pretty good.

I hope Gary Clark comes back strong on his next release.

Yeah good call on the Dylan... the guy just doesn't quit.

I streamed the Frank Ocean earlier since you all have been talking about it for so long and it's popped up at #1 on a lot of lists this year. It's pretty damn good. Not my usual kind of thing but very good.

  • A couple more I forgot to mention.

Christian Mistress - Possession (kind of like 70s throwback hard rock)
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros - Here
    Om - Advaitic Songs
    Storm Corrosion - Storm Corrosion
    Wild Nothing - Nocturne
Wymond Miles - Under the Pale Moon
The Boats - Ballads of the Research Department
Baroness - Yellow & Green (forgot about this one Name... they earn the spot especially after almost dying in the bus accident this year)

    Fuzz

  • Was going to put Animal Collective on here, but I think I ruined that album for a little while earlier in the year... I decided it was a good idea to wear headphones during getting 2 cavities filled and I chose CentipedeHZ. It was pretty intense and an overall dumb decision.

    Fuzz

  • Another late one... but really good.

  • Never really posted in this thread, but I'd like to give my nomination for best song of 2012.

I'm mostly a rap/hip-hop fan so many of you won't know the song lol.

    Meek Mill-Dreams and Nightmares

I think it's a great song and has a good message with a good background in it.

    Wu Tang Clan "C.R.E.A.M."

See Music Videos http://www.bvmtv.com/ that you CAN'T See on You Tube! even some X RATED music videos! +Live Chat and Embed video codes. The Clan first became known to hip hop fans, and to major record labels, in 1993 (see 1993 in music) following the release of the independent single "Protect Ya Neck", which immediately gave the group a sizable underground following. Though there was some difficulty in finding a record label that would sign Wu-Tang Clan while still allowing each member to record solo albums with other labels, Loud/RCA finally agreed, releasing their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), in late 1993. This album was popular and critically-acclaimed, though it took some time to gain momentum. The success of Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers established the group as a creative and influential force in early 1990s hip hop, allowing Ol' Dirty Bastard, GZA, RZA, Raekwon, Method Man and Ghostface Killah to negotiate solo contracts

Surprised you liked Coexist. I am going to see them in February. Maybe hearing the songs live will get me more into the new stuff.
