While not a dvd, Live at Cobo Hall is their best recorded live show

I thought it was okay. I don't agree with all those people claiming it is the best album of the year. The best rap album for me was 1999 by Joey Bada$$.

I have seen Joey Bada$$ name a couple of times but never checked him out. Then when I saw it on your list it was the first one I listened to. Glad I did, 1999 is so good. Love his style, has an golden age sound.
I liked the Kendrick Lamar but I don't get the hype it gets. Nowhere near the best hip hop album for me and it is getting best overall.

I think Kendrick Lamar is pretty good. He had some great verses this year on other people's tracks. I just think his album wasn't all that great.
I think this was a case of the blogs just hyping his album till no end.

I really like the album so far -- not as much as I liked the last Girls album, but this is definitely a good one. I don't think there is a song that I don't like, but nothing that is really sticking out as a favorite.
I like the horns on track 2, kind of a cool change of pace.

It's definitely good, I like it a lot right now... it's stripped down and a different mood than the last Girls album for sure. He almost has an Elliott Smith thing going on which is some high praise from me.
Really short album though, under 30 mins.
