Can't go wrong with Dan Brown. Digital Fortress, Angels and Demons, Da Vinci Code, Deception Point and my personal favorite, The Lost Symbol.
If you're into fantasy novels, there's the Wheel of Time series from Robert Jordan, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin, any Tolkien book, Brandon Sanderson is really good (The Mistborn series & A Way of Kings).
What do you like? I read it all.
