My way, way too early top-10 for 2013

    cool

for me the OL really isnt a concern at all & I wouldnt be suprised to see RF Darren Lake challenge or surpass Ivory. at CB even w/ Smith we need two others to step up, one to play Smith's star role & atleast one other (Fulton or Washington) to provide quality depth.

So I take it you're expecting Dee Milliner to declare early (if he hasn't already?).

Fulton and Washington are both better than Sylve?

Maybe another true Freshman will step up next year, like Smith has this year.

He is a huge Homer for the pac12 as evidence by his top 10 rankings he did every week.

Not homerish at all. I would suspect that the vast majority of experts would have both Oregon and Stanford in their 2013 top-3 at this point in time.

  • I would be really suprised if A&M isn't a top 7-10 team, especially if Matthews, Joeckel and Damontre come back.

Stanford will finish the season with 12 wins, and be better next year. Why would they not? They do lose 2 playmakers on defense But return 8-9 starters on both sides of the ball. Not sure why you are hating on the trees, they are going to be an outstanding football team next year. Had they put Hogan in as a starter earlier in the season, they would be playing for the national title this year.

I have all 3 of those guys leaving. If 1 or more do come back, I will re-evaluate in my next too early top-10

Milliner is a 1st rnd pick if he declares (i.e. Barron & Kirkpatrick a year ago)

Sylve ? he'll certainly be in the mix for minutes in 2013, and as for a newb stepping up next season ? there is a very good chance of that especially if two current non-Bama commits ink with the Tide.

just saying in the original take that those were the positions of "focus" for next spring.the cupboard is far from bare.

A pre season top 10 without FSU? This has to be a joke right?

Ya, I thought it was in tBB contract that no matter how crappy FSUe and VaTech are, they must be included in any preseason top 10.

Heads are gonna roll on this one, oh and dont forget to put somewhere in your top 25 any Sun belt teams who play an SEC team early on. Like W. Kentucky #24 for example.

  • It is also hilarious that you have USC in the top 10 when you will be breaking in a new qb, defensive coordinator anecdotes lane will still be the coach. You will eventually learn that lane is a terrible coach.

Notre Dame loses more lineman than Alabama, plus most of their D. No way they stay in the Top10

    USC will be way lower
Ohio State will need to move up
We have 9 seniors, and most of our defense will be back. McCarron, Yeldon, and all WRs will be back

    1. Oregon
    2. Alabama
    3. LSU
    4. Ohio State
    5. Florida
    6. Stanford
    7. UGA
    8. USCe
    9. UCLA
    10. Texas A&M

lol obviously you don't know crap about ND.. We lose 2 OL starting C and RG. We lose 3 starters on D..

But forget that ND will lose

    Cierre Wood
    Theo Riddick
    Tyler Eifert
    and 2 WRs

on an offense that is not very good.

They lose 1 Dlineman atleast, but also2 Sr. RBs

Notre Dame does not have the depth Alabama does, and yet we only lose 9 SRs

We lose 2 WR's that were listed as starters, but in reality Goodman rarely started. He had some big catches, but I'd bet he had less than 10 catches. TJ Jones and Davaris Daniels will both be back and were by far our best receivers. We lose Toma, but have Neal who will be a much bigger threat. FR Chris Brown will become household name, already our threat to stretch the field.

ahh, I actually thought Riddick was coming back. my mistake. It is a way, way too early poll for a reason.

Riddick is out of time, Cierre Wood could come back but doubt it..I'd go with Stanford, OSU, Bama, ND, Oregon, UF, and A&M as top 7.

  • A team that finishes its season (likely) 12-2, wins its own conference title, and has around 18 atarters returning should not be considered in preseason polls (FSU). Good call, OP.
