NBA is a joke

  • Stern trying to tell these coaches how to run their teams. What a joke

    Jeff4SC

  • More of a joke that Pop sits all 4 of his best players at once against Miami in a primetime matchup.

Pop pissing all over NBA fans everywhere showing that he doesn't give a shit about them.

I hope Stern pisses all over Pop showing him he doesn't give a shit what Pop is trying to do, you can't forfeit primetime games just for the sake of it.

If we wants to get pounded by Stern, then yes absolutely he can do what he wants.

I don't understand why fans are backing Popovich when he showed last night he doesn't give a rats ass about you, or appreciate that you have made him rich and paved his way for success.

Pop should have to pay out of his own pocket for every ticket that a fan wasted their money on. Douche bag.

In that case the NBA should spread out games more

The only fans Pop needs to worry about are his own fans.

He knows a game in late November means nothing.

  • NBA has been a joke for awhile now. What a corrupt piece of crap. Inmates running the asylum.

I no longer watch that garbage

  • They schedule all of these games so close and then expect coaches to not rest their players?? Lol

They should reduce the amount of games in the season for sure, but that's not the discussion.

Pop could have sat his players during any other game but he chose to do it like an arrogant prick and chose a primetime game against the Heat for some reason.

Unacceptable and he should pay for it.

How is that unacceptable?? Lol. They have been on a huge road trip. He is the coach and can play who he sees fit. Stern needs to take his midget a$$ on

That's a pretty narrow mindset. TV money is a big part of revenue stream, Pop knew full well what he was doing and chose to do it anyway. He should pay the consequences.

Plus Pop owes it to all fans to put on a show when he is on prime time. Could have sat these guys against the Wizards but he chose to make a point for some reason.

He's a douche who doesn't care about fans. It's going to cost him, IMO won't cost him enough. There were probably some people who saved up good money to go and watch the Spurs (Tim, Tony, and Manu) play the Heat and instead they got the red rocket and some euro guy I've never heard of. Not acceptable.

Maybe the NBA should schedule better. Pop is sending them a message.

If they wanted this to be a big time game then don't screw the Spurs and make it their 4th game in 5 nights.

How can anyone defend Stern. Worst commissioner in the history of sports IMO.

Could have sat the guys against terrible teams instead chose to make a spectacle of it and sat them during a prime time game against the Heat.

Not only is it unacceptable to the fans who bought tickets, it's unacceptable to the fans who spend their time and money watching the NBA. Pop obviously doesn't care that we pay his salary, and pay his house, and make his life awesome.

I hope Stern crushes his wallet.

The NBA is awesome, so obviously he isn't doing that bad of a job IMO.

Also NBA is sending Pop a message, a big one hopefully.

Pop owes it to his fans to try and win championships. Not put on a show in November.

He has an old team and these guys can't play 82 games. He could have waited but I personally like that he chose this game. Someone has to send a message.

I don't think Stern has any business telling coaches how to run a team.

This is no different than in the final game of the regular season in the NFL coaches rest players. Even Goodell is smart enough to know he can't tell coaches how to run their teams.

To be fair, it's one thing to rest your players at the end of the season when your playoff picture is already painted. Sitting your guys early in the season against the defending champs in a HUGE primetime matchup is a little sh!tty IMO. Why not sit them the game before?

It's actually very different. There was 1 game on TV last night, I don't think Godell would take to kindly to the Giants or Patriots resting Brady, Eli Manning in September in a Monday nighter. In fact I know he wouldn't/

Pop's team is old, that's his own damn fault. Everyone else deals with the schedule without being totally unreasonable like this dude, so why shouldn't he fall in line? Hiss ego is massive evidently if he thinks he can take on Stern and win.

Stern doesn't care what anyone says, he runs the league his way or the highway and doesn't care what the media says. He's the boss, and hopefully he takes a shit on Pop like Pop took a shit on us fans last night.

Just do not like what the NBA has become. Most guys have zero fundamentals. Now that is not necassarily Stern's fault but I also hate the star treatment that Stern has enabled.

    Aussie

  • Pop is paid to win championships. He has an obligation to his team to win. If resting them against the Heat is his decision than so be it.

Stern will set a terrible precedent by doing anything in this. He does not have the right to tell a team whom they can and cant sit.

How butthurt are you about this? Your team almost lost to them without their stars! How exactly does Popovich owe fans anything? He is payed to win championships first, not entertain you. If his players have been run ragged he can sit them if he wants.
