  • I remember watching the footage on cnn after the shooting an the reporter kept saying two pistols was used in the massacre. About eight hours later it was switched to an ar-15. This was done for one reason an one reason only! To help fuel the Presidents war on weapons.

  • This isn't anything new. I thought it was common knowledge that the "assault rifle" was never used and left in the trunk of the kids car.

  • what difference does it make? either you give guns to everyone or you keep it from people in the hope that the mentals don't go around doing this..i would imagine people are either on one side or the other

    The problem is the government wants people to believe an assault rifle was used to help push their agenda on weapons.

    Considering Obama is lobbying to have "Assault Weapons" banned and is using Newtown as a cornerstone of his argument it makes a big difference.

    Who care's honestly?

    Let the others bitch and moan about them. I have them and won't get rid of them if the government asks me to or not. Nobody will ever have to worry about my guns unless they try and break into my home or harm those I love on my property.

    You do that, I don't know why an assault rifle or anything else I have makes a different. I'm shooting them in the chest all the same. I just let crybabies be crybabies

  • There needs to be common sense used in this debate and of course in Washington, where the party never stops, there is none because our "leaders" are too worried about not getting re-elected.

    Here's the deal- you have to pass an eye exam to get a driver's license. They do this so you don't go kill yourself or someone else driving a car. Make people that want to buy guns pass a mental exam. More jobs are created because of the need for psychologists and screeners and less crazy people have guns.

    Instead you have these crusades either for or against things that don't matter. Oh, I don't like assault weapons so I'm going to use the school shooting to pass my agenda. The other side then starts flaunting their pro-gun position and no sensible solution is found to the issue- crazy people should not have access to guns. This isn't a referendum on the second amendment. It's not a chance for the liberals to impose a firearms prohibition- it's a chance to make it difficult for crazy people to own guns!!!

    I just started a thread about how there are more tests to get a driver's license than a gun. Just wish I could upvote this everyday.
