    It makes more sense than having the pricks hiding out in restaurant parking lots giving me speeding tickets when I'm going 42 in a 35.

    the government isn't coming into your homes to take your guns

    the first amendment isnt absolute

    (we have various restrictions on speech -- libel, incitement, hate, etc)

    and the 2nd aint absolute either

    people are trying to make it so that less innocent Americans get killed

    our gun culture is bonkers in this country; and the amount of irrational and irresponsible with access to inordinate firepower is absurd and dangerous to the public at-large

    we need tighter controls to make sure that responsible individuals retain the right to bear arms (and form militias) (cuz you know how the 2nd Amendment was constructed in a wholly different societal context -- pre-police force and pre- professional military, etc)

    no one is ever going to forcibly take guns away from citizens who have them

    so please put down the delusional dystopian crackpipe

    we need reasonable measures to make our society safer

    the alex jones, fear and hate-driven, knee-jerk, irrational censored is sad and pathetic

    how many more kids need to die before a more sizable political majority realizes that our gun culture has well passed unhealthy proportions in this country?

    It's a state issue and on that level, things are even more ridiculous (in most states, not all).

    That would be a federal grant program I think all parties could get behind, though.

    Most schools do have a "resource officer" but it's one guy or gal usually.

    But, honestly... Does it really matter what the people think anymore? We have elected leaders that don't care about us and basically made them unbeatable by letting them run over us for so long...
    There are TONS of different views on guns and etc but I think it should basically be common opinion that the 2nd amendment shouldn't be hindered....I'm all for mental tests, background checks etc. But owning a semi auto rifle is not a big deal... And these ammo restrictions are just ridiculous.... I own multiple hand guns and none of them hold less than 10 rds, except my 1911. Not to mention what's the difference betweenthe 10 and having to reload and 20 and having to reload.... The excuse "less killing" is BS based on th fact that 9/10 people don't have the balls to stand up and stop the man shooting anyways.
