NCAA 12... Anyone else have those games that you just cannot

    Sounds like my offense, minus I don't run very many screens. Off-tackle might be my favorite play.

    I like off-tackle. I usually run more dives and counters though, then if the D starts to clog the middle I'll either bounce the play outside, or just call outside runs like you're saying. As long as I've got balance, I feel pretty good.

  • Even if this has already been added I feel I need to. The PA Pass never works. The AI always knows you are going to run it on Heisman(And sometimes All-American) and will sack you no matter what.

  • PA works fine for me. Do I get sacked if I attempt it? Yeah, sometimes.

    However, I also keep the TE in to block on half of my PA passes. The ones I don't keep him in to block are the plays where I'm hitting the TE on a corner route, or using him to clear space for the FB in the flat.

  • I mainly play Road to Glory now over Dynasty mode. It pisses me off every time the Jeff Bowden-esque OC calls HB screens because the QB throws the ball 20 yards behind the LOS and I get TFL'd every time. I have to run a slant out of the screens just to get 2 yards out of it. Another thing is that when I'm a WR, if I don't get to 1 uncatchable ball, the QB ignores me the rest of the game. EA should've kept the Herbie and Andrews feature in RTG instead of the bland coverage they have now.

  • While we're on NCAA 12, last night I was recruiting after the bowl season and right before NSD and I signed 23/25 guys. But then on NSD I got some 5* RB and some JUCO 4* guy, even though I never offered them or talked to them, was really weird.

    Anyone else just throw hail marys all the time to combat the 50' vertical LBs? It's the only way I can run around with my QB too.

  • Yeah, when I had it i would usually just do a little 5 yard or less pass to the sidelines and then throw a lot of hail marys and try and run the ball...I would always fail...as run blocking is terrible.

    That happens to me also, but I get 2 stars that are slow and suck ass. I believe its some kind of walk on thing perhaps or just a glitch. I always just cut them.

    I play on AA with sliders and the games are still way too damn easy, sometimes I would hope to lose a game just to make it realistic.

    Idc if they are the best recruit in the country and a lean to my school, I will not pursue them.

    I know what you're talking about. The solution is to recruit them and then change the name to whatever you want in "Edit Roster". Think I might name my next qb "Catfish McGee" just for laughs...

    On offense: I use a hybrid FSU Multiple/Oregon Spread playbook
    On defense: use a 3-4 playbook

  • Every few months I fire up my 2008 or 2009 game and play my Heisman QB who hasn't seen a 4th quarter in 3 years.

    Any way you can keep the coach from yanking you without keeping it close?

    Pause, strategy, mass subs, sub in first team d and o. Theyll stay in there ubless you sim. If u sim afterwards you hsve to do it again cause the computer will take them out . i had a dynasty a cpl year s ago and they kept taking me out in the the third cause i scored too much n got neg sportsmanship so i would drive to the 1 and kick a field goal everytime. So i would have like 6000 pass yrds n only 15 tds. All american kicker tho lol

  • anyone noticed the insane amount of 5*s on the game. this season im on there is 11 5* wr's alone.. i signed 4 or 5 of them and a 4* qb with great throw accuracy. a high accel and speed back and now im gonna start a true frosh offense for the next 3 or 4 years. except o line that would b terrible if i did that.

    It's because of the SPARQ rating system. Basically the entire top 100 is full of WR recruits.

    Tbh I dont pay attention to sparq on the game. I dont know how it significant. I just look at their rating. Has to have at least A~ speed for me to recruit

    Yeah dude if u got the right players tri op and can read the de correctly everytime its awesome. I had like 1400 yrds with my fb one year. Dont like passing out of it though
