NCAA 13 Improvements

  • I played tons of NCAA12, and it seems to me that they are truly trying to fix everything that was wrong with this past years game. For example: no 50' verticals for LBs, no more psychic DBs, A ton more pass trajectories, even if your receiver is covered you can throw to an open spot on the field and alter his route. It just seems to me that it will be greatly improved from 2012s version.

    One flaw I notice in NCAA 12, when I play dynasty mode as Florida, I cannot recruit a true FB. I go to the FB page of available recruits when setting up my board and none have interest. I still try to recruit: offer scholly, use 60 mins, promise them the world, and still no interest. I learned to just recruit smaller blocking TEs and convert them. Anyone else have that problem?

    I usually just recruit a 3* G or C who runs a really fast 40. Their useless if you want to involve them in the running and passing game. But if you’re like me and you just use them to block, then they are great.

    I usually just recruit TEs also, and since they usually have a higher star rating they usually end up better. Then I can use them as extra TEs in double or triple TE packages.

  • You know what I hate?

    Having a QB start to scramble on my D, and I line up a kill shot on him. The tackle animation happens, but my player goes right through the QB because the computer makes him slide instead of getting crushed. The slide animation starts AFTER my player starts the tackle animation.

    I should've killed about 20 QBs and forced about 100 fumbles but noooo lol.

    Oh, and UCLA legitimately killed Matt Barkley the other day when I was playing a realistic 2013 season. Broken vertebrae.

    I’m pretty sure you get it on the day it comes out. I think the shipping is free as well but I’m not sure. IIRC it said the expected delivery date was July 10 which is the release date of the game. Doesn’t really matter though. Decent rosters don’t come out for like two weeks, and Good rosters aren’t available until the beginning of the season most of the time.

    better then watching the QB take off and your LB/CB just sits there in zone watching him run by for a first down.

    Exactly.. I play The Show and Fifa, until the start of the CFB season, then I get NCAA and download rosters from OS. biggrin

    No I'm just saying that I should be getting about five fumbles for every one decapitated QB, haha.

    This happens at least three times per game.

    And re: the zone comment... I don't play zone unless I'm bringing a heavy blitz.

  • I hate that recruiting is more in depth and now we have to scout to. I get tired of recruiting. I just want to have a good program without putting in the recruiting time.

    This is like having to clean your guns before and after every battle in COD or Battlefield. No fun
