Actually ND is tied with Bama for the #1 scoring defense.
Since he meant FCS, I'd like him to show me the FCS team that Bama has already played that would have given them an advantage over them.

points are not always on the defense
turnovers and bad special team play puts the defense at disadvantages in games by giving opposing offenses short field
USC gave up 44 points to Florida... 28 of those points came from drives that combine for 88 yards... is it the defenses fault their offense/special teams gave uf short fields?? nope

They have played way above expectations and deserve respect. They remind me a lot of Ohio St in 2002. There would be similar sentiments entering the title game for Notre Dame as there were for Ohio St that year.

I never mentioned Bama
But you do have a 1AA team on your sched. Not going to work when the +1 scenario starts. Will actually count against you.

After watching Bama the last two weeks I agree. Our pass rush is much better than Bama. We don't have to blitz nearly as much to get after the QB. I'm rooting for KSU to win out and hoping Oregon loses along the way. We would match up perfectly with KSU.. Have to get past USC first, always a tough task..
