Probably feels about the same as Miami traveling to BC, Pitt, Syracuse, ect...

Location really doesn't matter, as a flight is a flight.

What are these flights you speak of? I only travel by train.

fsu is stupid as hell to go to a conference trying to get away from being ran by 3 schools to now be run by two... what they hell do they think texas a and m left for? if fsu feels it has the market to survive playing in a conference with the richest public school in the nation they tripping. I love my school but I don't think this was smart at all. downvote me disagree with me if you want but I think its stupid.

Its stupid to go to a conference with more money and offers more marquee conference games? Explain....

What a fascinating invention! Why that would cut down travel time immensely. Perhaps one could circumnavigate the entire globe in only 80 days. Imagine the possibilities for college football!

So, you want fsu to fall into football obscurity? The acc is not going to be a part of the 4 team playoff. The acc wdoesnt care about football. Fsu will make more money in the big 12. Honestly, you can't sit there and tell me big 12 refs will screw up more than acc refs. Hell, acc refs were whown on tv to move the ball forward to give another team a first down.

  • First it was Clemson and fsu, now Louisville nd and fsu? While thing is foolish.

Can't imagine fsu abandoning all of their regional rivalries for a chance to play ou or Texas every other year. What a joke.

Nd... even more of a joke. Imagine their fans traveling to Lubbock, Jesus Christ is what they'll be saying.

    Louisville? Laf. Bargain bin team.

This and FSU can't go to any conference and be the top dog so who cares

We are not liked in the ACC so what is the difference

Rather be Texas and OU's bitch than fags like Duke and UNC

Louisville is an elite basketball school, and has had more success in football the last decade than both Missouri and A&M. Who is the bargain bin team? Big 12 is going for good programs, not markets...

    Yeah or this

  • Louisville does have a really good basketball program, but that's it. We saw how valuable basketball additions were when the ACC renegotiated. They are also in a small state which makes it even worse.

    DO. NOT. WANT.

I have no idea about the money but I’m not sure it will offer more marquee conference games. As of now FSU play’s 3-4 (Clemson, UM, UF, and VT when their on the schedule) “marquee games” besides the occasional big OOC game. If they join the Big XII they will probably have to give up the Miami series, because I doubt they play Miami and UF OOC every year.

Games against OU or UT would be big every. WVU or Okie ST would probably be big depending on how good the teams were that particular year. That’s about it. TCU will become a bottom dweller after Patterson leaves for UT. Who knows what’s going to happen to KSU after Syder leaves again? Baylor had a nice year, but having a player the caliber of RG3 was an anomaly for that program. Louisville will suck again after Strong gets a better job. Who knows if they will get another coach as good as Petrino or Strong again? They will probably become the program they were under Kragthorpe after Strong leaves.

This doesn’t really make since for FSU if they only join with Louisville. It made since at first when it was going to be a 14-16 team conference but now it just some seems like at the most a lateral move. I wouldn’t count out ACC football going forward either. I like London at UVA. Golden will turn around UM. Fedora was a good hire, and UNC has the money to have a decent program. VT should be fine after Beamer leaves, and their most likely not going anywhere unless the SEC or B1G come calling, and TBH I wouldn’t write off the addition of Pitt. Paul Chryst was a really good hire, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up turning Pitt into the ACC version of Wisconsin.

Agreed with everything you said. ACC has more potential IMO. Big12 is really just Texas and Oklahoma(I don't think any of the other schools can recruit at high enough level for sustained national success) and only the Texas media market. ACC has NC, a large chunk of Florida, DC area, a good portion of Pennsylvania, New York, and Atlanta and a few programs with the potential to become nationally relevant.

Then. Why is the big 12 making so much more money?

No way the teams in the ACC will be left out of a playoff.
