I typically do not post on this board because I do not like getting into pissing matches with other fans. And I will not this time, but I have something I want to say. ND has a big game at USC this weekend and I am looking forward to that game. Should ND win, they will go to the NC game against the SEC champion. I want ND to play the SEC champion because if ND had won that game without beating an SEC team, then they would not have beaten the best team in some's eyes. I have seen the early line from Vegas of Bama-9.5/10. As a ND fan, I will admit that is probably somewhat justified based off of Alabama's success over the years and their excellent team they have put on the field year after year and the closeness of some of ND's victories. But, for those that think this ND team is simply going to lay down or get rolled over by Bama/UGA because they have no talent or are not that good-be careful. This is not the same ND team that some thought failed to earn their spot in previous years, they have earned this ranking and this opportunity. ND heard the same thing going against MSU at night in their place, against Michigan at home with Denard, playing a supposed much more physical team in Stanford, against OU at night in Norman.
Matt Barkley made the comment last year after the USC game that "at the end there they just quit. That is what ND football is all about. They just quit and they aren't anything like USC."
Well this ND team will not quit Saturday or on January 7, 2013. All of those wanting ND because they think it will be easy or that they are simply not talented, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.

This. For those that see Alabama blowing them out, that tells me they havent watched Notre Dames defense. They are suffocating, fast and relentless. It would be a low scoring game and i really could see either team pulling out the victory. What a game that would be. I got nothing but love for Notre Dame.

Screw you and your $hitty football team that gets help from the refs every chance they get. stanford got screwed. Your team is the definition of overated. When bama shreds the irish you will finally see what its like to play a real team.

ND has played one opponent ranked in Top 50 Offense. Bama has played 4 and you can make it 5 when we play Georgia. You have a cute team this year and I'm sure the temporary Number 1 ranking is probably enough for you at this stage in your program. Pretending like you can beat Bama is just silly though.
