You guys need defense. I will laugh if ATL drafts a TE with their first pick

Defense is pretty deep in this draft.

But I agree. Draft a TE in the first and I'll laugh at ATL

    Edited. Long day.

  • Cowboys could end up trying to grab a DT or DE since we're going to a 4-3 but our OL sucks more dick than a cheap porn star

  • Ravens are going to lose a lot of key pieces due to the cap so we have to draft wisely. The options will be thin at 32 so it will come down to the best player available at ILB, LT, DT, S, DE, CB and WR. Of course I'd love to get a beast tackle like Joeckhl or Fisher, but they'll be long gone along with the top dogs at each position. Pre combine Lance Johnson was a realistic option at 32, buy he's now a top 10-15 pick. Here's who I think the Ravens could still get at 32.

    ILB-
Kevin Minter, Alec Ogeltree, Manti Teo(trade back and take him in mid 2nd or maybe see if he could drop to 64), Arthur Brown(see Teo)
    LT-
    Menelik Watson
    S-
    Matt Elam
    DT-
    Jonothan Hankins, Sheldon Richardson
    DE-
Sam Montgomery(I could see them trading back and taking him in the early 2nd. He's a slacker, but the Ravens would whip him into shape), Margus Hunt
    CB-
Desmond Trufant, Xavier Rhodes(Another trade back kind of deal for Rhodes. Trade back and take him in early/mid 2nd), Jonothan Banks(same thing. Trade back)
    WR-
Keenan Allen(he'll go higher, but there's a chance he could drop), Tavon Austin(all though he doesn't fit the Ravens style he is from Baltimore and the Ravens offense is going in a different direction. More pass happy and Austin is a big time play maker.

Also, they could trade Jacob Jones this way and free up some cap. Austin would give us that burner type that Jones is and he could be our special teams guy as well. I could actually see this pick happening.

Justin Hunter(another trade back option, but they could probably get Terrance Williams, Robert Woods or DaRick Rogers in round 3-4. Or even Hunter at 64).

Those are the Ravens top options IMO.

Falcons, TE, DE, Safety. Running back with FA.

    Steven Jackson in FA.

    Lutzenkirchen in 4th/5th round.

Swearinger or Amerson in the 2nd round. I love Amerson, but it depends on how he can transition to S.

This is probably wishful thinking, but Jarvis Jones is starting to slip down to the 15-20 range in some mocks, and I'd love to see us move up and get him to be a pass-rushing DE.

  • Steelers fan here.

Probably the least I've followed the draft in quite a few years, but here's what I would like to see from the first three rounds:

    CB
    LB
    S

Not particularly sure which exact players, but if they come away with those three positions then I'll probably be happy. Just behind those positions, I'd like to see a midround RB and WR. Strangely enough, the Steelers have had much better luck with their offensive skill position players late in the draft than early.

First round-OT Fisher, OG Warmack either one

Second round-if Lacy drops then him or Matt Barkley

Third round-CB Mathieu, Peterson said he wants to take him under his wing

Xavier Rhodes(Another trade back kind of deal for Rhodes. Trade back and take him in early/mid 2nd)

You are nuts if you think the Ravens can trade back and get Rhodes. He will not make it past the Bucs at 13. Im not saying this either because Im a Nole fan but he is the 2nd best DB in the Draft. He is a big corner and it seems NFL teams are wanting to transition to the taller athletic corners ala the Seahawks. NFL.com had this to say about him.

Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State: It is hard to find corners with size, speed and athleticism, which is why Rhodes' impressive combine workout has scouts salivating. Rhodes measured in at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds and posted a 4.43-second 40-yard dash, answering any questions about his top-end speed and likely solidifying his status as a mid-first-round selection. Additionally, Rhodes logged 14 reps on the bench press while posting a 40.5-inch vertical jump and an 11-0 broad jump. Factor in his solid display of movement skills in positional drills and Rhodes becomes an intriguing "shutdown" corner candidate on most draft boards across the league.

    LOSNOLES

  • Bills need everything.

Given Nix's history, I think odds are that he'll pick a CB. QB and WR are next up.

Won't be specific enough as far as an actual 'gameplan' is concerned. You can scrap CB, WR, and possibly S for the first round and focus on ILB, T, G and then if we lose a combination of Kruger, Ellerbee, of Mcphee then we start looking at 3-4 fits at DL

  • yeah rhodes wont get past the Bucs at 13 unless schiano decides he likes trufant more

atlanta would be dumb to draft lacey. eifert should be the only choice. runningback is a devalued position nowadays and you can get good back in the second. plus i dont think that highly of lacey, i dont even think he was the best back on Bama this year.

actually i hope the falcon do take lacey because it means we wont have to stop eifert and we might be able to move up and grab him
