NFL draft: Best at each position..

  • QB: fingergun But if I have to pick, I'll say Tyler Wilson. Don't forget how good he is. He just had a bad season because JLS ruined Arkansas.
    RB: Lacy
    WR: Cordarelle Patterson
    TE: Tyler Eifert
    OT: Luke Joeckel
    OG: Chance Warmack
    DE: Damontre Moore
    DT: Star Lotuleilei
    OLB: Jarvis Jones
    ILB: Kevin Minter
    CB: Dee Millner
    FS: Philip Thomas
    SS: Matt Elam

Thoughts? What do you agree with? What do you disagree with?

  • I'm still stunned Dooley actually had some NFL talent and still went 1-7 in the SEC. Patterson is going to be a beast in the NFL for the right team. I think Hunter will have the better career overall, but Patterson is going to be electric early on.

Nice list. I debated about Allen vs Patterson for a good while, there is no wrong answer there.

But you have Dion Jordan as an OLB? Isn't he like 6'7? Personally, he seems more fit to be a DE in my opinion.

Depends on what team drafts him. I look at him as a hybrid. 4-3 = DE, 3-4 = strong side OLB. Just my opinion.

  • QB: christ do i have to pick? i have no idea. could end up being manuel if he goes to a team that uses him properly and coaches him, could be Wilson. ill go wilson because of 2011 when he had decent coaching. geno smith will bust hard and glennon will underwhelm.
    RB - Gio Bernard
WR - Keenan Allen (was close with patterson but i went with the more refined player at this point)
    TE - Ertz
    OT - Joeckel
    OG - Warmack
C - Jones (not really any other choices here for centers)
    DT - Lotulelei
    DE - Werner
    OLB - J Jones
ILB - Minter. (would have been Teo til his little end of season meltdown)
    FS - Phillip Thomas
    SS - Elam
CB - Milliner/rhodes. different kind of corners.

happens all the time. Md is top 10 in players in the NFL and has been mediocre since the early 2000's

    Pic Sigs are for losers.

  • QB Geno (default pick, I dont actually like him)
RB No elite back but I will say Lacy is at the top. I have a feeling the combine shakes this position up
WR Patterson and I expect him to push farther away at the combine
TE Ertz as I see him as more athletic, even though Eifert is a better blocker
    OT Joekel obviously
    OG Warmack even more obviously
C Some mid-round guys but nothing concrete
    DE Werner
    DT Floyd
    OLB Dion Jordan
    ILB Kevin Minter
    CB Milliner
    S Matt Elam
    S Jon Cyprien

he picked wilson if you read what he said. Also who is a better DE then Werner? There isnt a better DE. Dion Jordan might be a better athlete but if your a 4-3 team, Werner is the best player at DE, until at least a guy blows up at the combine or werner fails to show hes athletic enough to translate to the NFL

  • Not sure if he's the best wide receiver or if he even really fits into any of these positions, but I think Tavon Austin could be one of the best players out of this draft. He's small but small guys can be hard to hit when they have moves like him. He'll be available in the late 1st until probably the 2nd round and he will be a playmaker as early as next year.

And whoever said Cyprien for best safety, I agree. Another stud sleeper.

Patterson hunter is a tough debate. Think id pick cp

Definitely CP. You know what you're getting with Hunter, which is a solid WR. CP's potential is unmatched by anyone though. He could be special.

Austin has great potential. If he was 4 inches taller, he'd be the top pick at WR. His size is very concerning for most teams considering how often smaller players get hurt and only contribute for a couple of years then fade away from greatness (i.e. Chris Johnson, Devin Hester). They can be effective return men, but their position productivity quickly dwindles.

  • For all you fools putting Elam and Thomas as best safeties, Vaccaro will be the first safety off the board
