For me, Norfleet is easily defined: football player. Pure and simple. He is a football playing dude.
He could play RB in the right scheme, slot WR in any scheme, I think he could play corner or nickel and be a factor in the return game. Versatility is his key IMO.

I encourage you to do a little more research. This is factually incorrect. Every school in the B10 (save Northwestern) have the same minimum requirements (the NCAA standard). A coaching staff can CHOOSE not to bring in a kid because perhaps they feel he will struggle remaining qualified once enrolled. But, speaking solely to "getting in", there is ABSOLUTELY no difference in the qualification standards.
Michigan has taken risks, and they have not worked out (see: Demar Dorsey). MSU has taken risks (see: Damon Knox) and they have qualified in time. It is up to the staff to properly research where a kid is short, and decide for themselves whether or not they believe he can make the adjustments necessary in time to enroll.
Some other points:
1) MSU's APR is 938, while U-M's is 928 (and the lowest among ALL Big Ten teams).
2) MSU has not had an academic non-qualifier out of HS under Dantonio.

Speaking of the 7 on 7 in Bradenton, where do you guys see Shane Morris being ranked next year? This guy have been on beast mode for the camps and is only a '13 guy. I'm sure he is a give top 100 guy, thoughts?

I need to know how far Pike is likely to fall in the rankings so I can prepare various Auburn boards on these Internets ahead of time.

Here's the deal with Pike. Had this conversation several times over the weekend. He's certainly going to fall a little bit, but Auburn fans should still be real excited he's coming to play there. He's a Ben Roethlisberger type player. Although he had a great summer last year in 7-on-7, that's not really his game. He's more of an improviser. He's the type of QB that makes things happen. A LB is draped on his back, he breaks the tackle, runs towards the sideline and completes a pass downfield. He's super competitive. There is not another touted QB in the country that has attended as many national events as him. Following a tough Elite 11, he stayed after and worked out for another hour. He loves playing. Watch his film and he shows you the kind of athlete he is. He's making plays at DE. He's blocking kicks. This kid has a good arm. He'll have to become a better decision maker, but he's still a great get. He'll bust his rump to get better at things that aren't his strength.

Two long hot days in Dallas for the NLA 7on7 national championship served as a setting for some terrific performances including the emergence of Jeremy Liggins.

Barton is Tee Shepard that good? Wasn't even tested or thrown at during the tournament, that's a pretty big statement.. How high would you rank Tee amongst the DB's you have seen this year?? What player does he remind you of?
