I've never understood the NCAA rules on endorsements and signing bonuses. They seem to vary by sport and make little sense. A baseball player can accept hundreds of thousands in a signing bonus and remain eligible to play amateur sports in college, but a swimmer can't accept endorsements (or can only accept a small amount). And golf and tennis players can receive tons of free equipment from manufacturers, but a football player must turn in his worn out cleats.

Kind of gay statement to make, but....OSU dominates synchronized swimming like few schools have dominated any sport, yet they have only one Olympian in that sport. She is only an alternate as well.
