    This is coming from a South Carolina fan? What advantages does your school have over Clemson or Auburn? The only one I could think of is being located in a bigger city, but if I wanted to attend college in a big city or even midsized city, there are dozens or hundreds of places I would choose over Columbia, South Carolina

    Had arguably the best PSU team ever, but we had to play in the Rose Bowl because of the Big Ten and didn't get a chance to play Nebraska for the title.

    as a homer couldn't let that pass. Either way it doesn't diminish what you are saying. It is a good program with a black cloud of sh!t right now. Something that has nothing to do with how the games are played. I think the whole conference wants it to go away and focus on football.

    Actually, Auburn usually makes me scratch my head, especially now that Malzahn is gone.

    Bama has been the superior school for the majority of the rivalry, has more NCs both total and recently, and Saban blows Chizik out of the water as a coach.

    They definitely have an inflated sense of self worth to the college football world, IYAM.

    Speaking for myself, I just find it comical that the prototypical retort tends be that opinions should be valued based on the historical resume of the team you pull for.

    But then again, that's why I pull for Yale and our 17 national champions first, South Carolina second.
