My guess is some kind of mackerel.

that's a monk fish I'm pretty sure. delicious if so. no clue on the other one, but the eyes make me think it's one of the super deep water fish.

I was about to say Patagonian Toothfish aka Chilean Sea Bass, but the tail is different and I'm guessing it would be impossible or very unlikely to be in that range.

Never heard of that fish before. Have you ever had it? I just read that it can give you the runs if you aren't careful.

Also St. Croix rods are my favorite. The Legend Tournament Series is my go to rod right now. I even use it for inshore fishing throwing plugs by kelp beds to catch Calicos. I'm gonna take some on overnight trips this summer to get some yellows and tuna using lighter lines.
