My interpretation is that Obama will win Florida and it's only a matter of time. Am I wrong?

I think that's accurate. Most of the outstanding votes are in Dade County, a liberal bastion. It's highly unlikely that Romney wins Florida, and hopefully the country will be spared the expense of a recount, since all Florida does is make Romney's loss marginally less embarrassing.

That they are. I also love that Silver's reputation is now pretty much ironclad. He staked his entire reputation on the accuracy of this election, and prevailed handily, despite all the cries of "liberal bias."

I haven't been monitoring local Florida news - is there any talk of a recount brewing?

Romney won Jacksonville and a lot of North Florida, but Obama pretty much won South Florida

lets be honest here. 49 for 49 is no accomplishment

it really comes down to about 6-8 states so who gives a crap about the other 42-44 states just bumping his percentage.

and even then, 3-4 of the "swing" states couldve been figured out beforehand as well.

This makes the second straight election in which he has accurately predicted every major swing state. If he was just that lucky, he'd be cleaning up in Vegas.

The fact of the matter is that the man has been able to do what no one else has - come up with a model capable of accurately predicting the winner of a presidential election with almost 100% accuracy. There is no guesswork involved. Silver's model shows what is going to happen - there isn't a single bit of luck or guessing necessary for the success of the model.

If Nate Silver's so good with his wizardry and witchcraft, why hasn't he won the lottery yet?
