  • When I was -- oh, I don't know -- 8-years-old, I was walking home from school. And as I was crossing as the street, there was a school bus driving in my direction. Instead of paying attention to the road, the bus driver was driving while yelling at the kids sitting in the back. As the bus got really close to hitting me, a person in his car saw the disaster waiting to happen and frantically started honking his car horn, causing the bus driver to slam her brakes. Thank God for that guy.

  • Shot at while tracking a deer by some fool that shot at anything that moved, tree bark hit me from a few feet above my head, fed a wild bear by hand on a dare and it was still hungry after the food I had was gone thankfully a friend had some lunch to get his attention while I slipped away. Several high speed close calls in a car/truck/atv maybe not all near death but pretty sphincter tightning none the less.

    3 months ago came about a foot from being tboned...the car stopped just short..they were texting and didnt see the light change
    1 month ago got drunk and tried to light a fire with a Molotov and it didnt bust (went through a door), i went back in after it and forgot that we poured gas and diesel all over the pile, fumes lit as i was one step from being out with the still lit molotov, i was engulfed
    1 year ago riding my 4 wheeler behind a truck about 30 mph after planting foodplots, dogs run out at me and i looked down to make sure i didnt hit it and when i looked up the truck had stopped due to another dog, locked breaks and was perpendicular to the road on the front wheels

    i was on blood thinners after i got shot and punched out a guy's car window when he was trying to run me down. arterial bleeding ensued.

    Ours is maybe 10 pounds bigger than that.. I just installed the doggy door, (A huge pain cutting a whole in a metal door, BTW) and It has been a huge success..

  • 10th grade driving home with a friend a 18 wheeler swapped lanes and forced us downhill from the overpass. Not near death, but definitely could have been. How I forgot that I'll never know.
