I actually enjoy living in Mobile. Dauphin Island really sucks though because the water is brown and all you see is the oil rigs. Gulf Shores is very nice though. I'm born and raised in Louisiana but have lived here for three years now. I think Alabama is a lot cleaner than Louisiana but even only an hour and a half away from the state line the food is not as good and certain things like boudin are hard to find. The only thing I miss is about living near Baton Rouge is going to the LSU baseball and basketball games. Just a quick ride to go watch them but only on certain occasions now. Of course, football is an all day affair so I don't mind going 3 hours for that.

Gulf Shores is really nice. Only place I've been to down south. I lived there 9 years ago for a summer after high school with my uncle. Had to drive to Florida to buy smokes though... Went to the "wrong Wal-Mart" one time upstate, I don't remember what city. Never knew that stuff existed...
