Nobody from my area considers Virginia the North. Even Maryland is the deep south to us here.

Look, can we all just agree that no one wants to claim Delaware? Who cares who's to blame, can we not at least agree that it was a failed experiment?

Rather than argue, maybe we join together and find a mutably beneficial solution. Like giving the population a reasonable amount of time to relocate (say, an hour) and then hitting it with a neutron bomb. We can erect a water slide park on whatever remains.
